Mrdarknezz··on Goravel: PHP's Laravel like web framework supercharged with Go
You're more productive when you don't have to reinvent the wheel, as I already stated.
Mrdarknezz··on Goravel: PHP's Laravel like web framework supercharged with Go
If you're making a wheel that exactly fits the design requirements you'll have a hard time when does requirements inevitably changes. Making rigid designs instead of plyable is a terrible idea if you're working with web
Mrdarknezz··on Goravel: PHP's Laravel like web framework supercharged with Go
I know several languages, and in none of them is it preferable to ignore using the correct tooling.
Mrdarknezz··on Goravel: PHP's Laravel like web framework supercharged with Go
I highly doubt the technical debt and inevitable vulnerabilities weigh up any perceived time saved. Also when you use a framework like laravel you're sort of forced into building applications in similar styles making it easier for other developers to cooperate instead of having to figure out some weird homemade framework.
Mrdarknezz··on Goravel: PHP's Laravel like web framework supercharged with Go
You want to build your own ORM, sockets, SPA, Queue handler, Scheduler, Container, Auth etc? That seems like a massive waste reinventing the wheel

Mrdarknezz··on VSCode + WSL makes Windows awesome for web development
I made the mistake to store it on the windows drive. When I moved it I was blown out of the water of the performance. I got some insane speeds that I didn't think was possible

Just build more nuclear lol
Mrdarknezz··on EVs Are Essential Grid-Scale Storage
No you don't have to overbuild? Just build enough load following.

Storage will waste massive amounts of energy through conversion

Mrdarknezz··on EVs Are Essential Grid-Scale Storage
This seems like a massive waste of energy, why not just produce the amount of energy we need?

Mrdarknezz··on Japan to invest on nuclear energy in major policy shift
Not if you count auxilary costs, it's also intermittent so it really isn't interchangeable with nuclear.
Mrdarknezz··on Japan to invest on nuclear energy in major policy shift
Thank god
Mrdarknezz··on BYU profs create new nuclear reactor to produce nuclear energy more safely
Nuclear is so far the fastest way to deploy clean energy and has been for decades. I don't see how the most sustainable source of energy is a distraction?
