OkGoDoIt··on iPhone Duo
Personally I find passports slightly too large to comfortably fit in my pants pocket, and a passport is definitely thinner than this phone. Whenever I travel and have to have my passport in my pants pocket I’m always a bit uncomfortable about it, I usually prefer to keep it in my backpack or somewhere else. If you’re carrying this in a purse then it sounds great. The passport aspect ratio is pretty awesome on phones, I tried one shaped like this at a Chinese phone store last year and enjoyed it. But shoving a $2000 device the size of a thick passport into my pocket on a daily basis feels like a bad idea.

I don’t know, in both the USA and Vietnam I see a massively disproportionate amount of people with the orange iPhone 17 Pro. Personally I like the orange color, but based on how ubiquitous the color choice seems to be, is does look a lot like conspicuous consumption to me.

And even in a case now that they have those huge camera plateaus you can still definitely tell what color iPhone someone has.

OkGoDoIt··on Feature Request: Support AGENTS.md
I wouldn’t be surprised if it has more to do with the fact that I’m currently in Vietnam. I certainly get a lot of websites that give me extra hassle about accessing from here, or some simply refuse to load at all. Just try booking a domestic USA flight on Frontier Airlines or Southwest Airlines while currently being in Southeast Asia…

For what it’s worth, I’ve received this on my iPhone running safari. I almost never use Reddit, and when I do it’s usually because I’m casually browsing and someone linked to it, and for that type of usage I’m almost always on my phone. I can’t remember the last time I attempted to access Reddit on an actual computer. But I’m clearly not their target user, I simply don’t care about them enough to be willing to jump through any hoops.

OkGoDoIt··on Feature Request: Support AGENTS.md
I agree with you on this general pattern, but I don’t really see how it applies to Claude Code’s usage of claude.md specifically.

I believe Claude code has been using that file since before the agents.md standard, so it’s not really a business decision to be different. There are some potential rough edges with changing over now, and the best proposed solution in the GitHub issue could be a bit complicated and error-prone from a technical or security point of view.

I’m not saying I agree with the decision, I would certainly prefer if they standardized on agents.md, but I don’t really believe their lack of doing so is deliberate enshittification.

It’s been broken for me for at least a week. When I click that link I get:

Somehow Reddit thinks I care enough about their content to set up an account and log in just to read it. They are mistaken.

OkGoDoIt··on OpenAI's super PAC is funding AI-generated news site attacking industry critics
“Using your own firm’s president as a supposedly independent expert, without acknowledging the relationship, is a striking departure from basic journalistic norms”

Well that’s about the nicest possible way to phrase that…

Why do people insist on giving shady characters the benefit of the doubt? It’s pretty clear what’s happening here and yet the level of effort put into avoiding judgement seems excessive.

OkGoDoIt··on DeepSeek-V4-Flash Update
I think I’m missing something, what do you mean Chinese resellers? As I understand it, it’s difficult to even access OpenAI in China, how could they be reselling it? Do you mean something like openrouter but a Chinese version or something?
OkGoDoIt··on Nearly half of LG smart TV apps contain residential proxy SDKs
Yeah, this does seem somewhat reasonable. I get that most users will probably accept it without thinking twice, but if you’re going to do something like this, this is at least a fairly upfront and consenting way of doing it. For the TV platforms where this isn’t allowed, you have to wonder if apps are still doing it but just completely secretly, and trying to hide their tracks as well.
OkGoDoIt··on Nearly half of LG smart TV apps contain residential proxy SDKs
In the article they mentioned that Amazon and Roku block apps from using these SDK’s, and specifically after Roku recently made a change to disallow this kind of thing, many of the affected apps were withdrawn from the Roku app store. The implication is that those other smart TVs don’t have the same third-party apps because these apps were specifically created to act as a foothold for these residential proxy networks.
OkGoDoIt··on The AirPods Effect
Whenever I try to do that, the noise canceling amplifies the wind noise so much it winds up being louder and less comfortable than not wearing them at all.
OkGoDoIt··on Babel-USB: USB drive with every file
The readme explains how to set this up, but it doesn’t really explain what it does. What does this do? I’m guessing it pretends to be a flash drive containing infinite books and then somehow fetches them on the fly from the Internet when the operating system attempts to access them?
OkGoDoIt··on Ask HN: Is anyone working at least 4 hours daily on an Apple Vision Pro?
Yeah this seems like an obvious thing that would make it a lot more useful. Sad that Apple is barely scratching the surface of what’s possible, and it’s too closed for third-party developers to attempt to do anything like that.
OkGoDoIt··on Explore Wikipedia Like a Windows XP Desktop
I’m surprised the search function in the start menu doesn’t do anything. Seems like that would be super useful. But I did enjoy this, nice job with the polish.
OkGoDoIt··on April 2026 TLDR Setup for Ollama and Gemma 4 26B on a Mac mini
In case anyone’s wondering, I tried it again and it worked this time, even without logging in. Maybe because this was my first visit to GitHub in a new country (I’m currently on vacation), I triggered some sort of anti-scraping measure or something.
OkGoDoIt··on April 2026 TLDR Setup for Ollama and Gemma 4 26B on a Mac mini
Sorry for being off topic, but why can’t I open this without being logged into GitHub? I thought gists are either completely private or publicly accessible. Are they no longer publicly accessible?

OkGoDoIt··on Ask HN: Are there examples of 3D printing data onto physical surfaces?
I’ve been plenty of graveyards where the old gravestones are completely unreadable. Did they use different/worse stone in the past or is this the most likely outcome of new gravestones after a couple hundred years? Several people have mentioned engraving into stone in this discussion but in this one example I can think of engraved stone, it doesn’t leave me feeling confident about the medium. What am I missing?
OkGoDoIt··on Your pet's microchip may now be useless after chip company goes out of business
What city requires you to register your pet and get a license? I’ve never heard of that before. Sounds kind of crazy. I’m assuming this is very regional.
OkGoDoIt··on Skip the Tips: A game to select "No Tip" but dark patterns try to stop you
I’ve seen gift cards work around this by charging a “monthly maintenance fee” after a year of inactivity.
OkGoDoIt··on Skip the Tips: A game to select "No Tip" but dark patterns try to stop you
I had the exact same thing happen to me at a hotel in China. I could not get the person at the checkin desk to understand the problem so I ended up having to just eat the extra cost. Very frustrating, it was not a small amount of money.
OkGoDoIt··on Fix the iOS keyboard before the timer hits zero or I'm switching back to Android
It’s using AI to try and determine if it’s a proper noun or other scenario where multiple words are really one semantic term. Except it’s really really bad at it and it’s almost never the behavior I want, but there’s no way to turn it off. (I vaguely remember there was a WWDC talk sometime a couple years ago where they went into how this works)
OkGoDoIt··on Everything – Locate files and folders by name instantly
Everything about this feels like what Microsoft should have done. It’s absolutely amazing to me that search is so broken in Windows and yet a free third-party tool can instantly find any file anywhere.
OkGoDoIt··on The Codex App
Also interesting that they are both only for macOS. I’m feeling a bit left out on the Windows and Linux side, but this seems like an ongoing trend.
OkGoDoIt··on Hacking Moltbook
If you’re focused on productivity and business use cases, then obviously it’s pretty silly, but I do find something exciting in the idea that someone just said screw it, let’s build a social network for AI’s and see what happens. It’s a bit surreal in a way that I find I like, even if in some sense it’s nothing more than an expensive collaborative art project. And the way you paste the instruction to download the skill to teach the agent how to interact with it is interesting (first I’ve seen that in the wild).

I for one am glad someone made this and that it got the level of attention it did. And I look forward to more crazy, ridiculous, what-the-hell AI projects in the future.

Similar to how I feel about Gas Town, which is something I would never seriously consider using for anything productive, but I love that he just put it out there and we can all collectively be inspired by it, repulsed by it, or take little bits from it that we find interesting. These are the kinds of things that make new technologies interesting, this Cambrian explosion of creativity of people just pushing the boundaries for the sake of pushing the boundaries.

OkGoDoIt··on Verizon starts requiring 365 days of paid service before it will unlock phones
I don’t believe that’s true. Locking is entirely something done by carriers for promotionally-priced phones attached to active phone plans.

Can you point me to anywhere documenting your claim? That would definitely be a new low if true, but I really don’t think that’s how it works.

OkGoDoIt··on Show HN: DoNotNotify – Log and intelligently block notifications on Android
That doberman site feels kind of sketchy. It doesn’t say anything about the hardware required or how someone would integrate this. Also it says it’s free but then one of the five top level pages is the SLA which says it doesn’t apply to free plans. I really don’t understand if this is just a random landing page that someone created to gauge interest or what.
OkGoDoIt··on I failed to recreate the 1996 Space Jam website with Claude
The statement is almost certainly made in jest, since it is obviously untrue. Sometimes adding silly artificial constraints can be a fun way to spark creativity.
