I can also imagine there's some potential for sharing the same engine across multiple apps, though I'm not sure if they actually do this.
Of course, it means you have to deal with cross-browser issues, but I guess webdevelopers are used to this anyway. I'm also aware that these projects don't provide all the APIs that Electron provides, but many apps that are really just a wrapper around a webapp this is totally fine IMO.

It's still a little rough around the edges compared to for example Elm, but the tooling, packaging, Javascript interop etc are really good IMO.

I think a lot of the components in Bulma use Flexbox, but I consider this an implantation detail I don't care about.
Arubacloud is pretty good, but €1 offer is only available in Italy.
Besides that RamNode, BuyVM, Hetzner and Ultravps are pretty good (though all a bit more expensive than 20$/year).
Compared to other, comparably priced providers like Hetzner and OVH that do use RAID this is a big caveat IMHO. Of course important data should be backed up remotely but disks fail and I'm not willing to deal with the hassle of restoring data simply because a single disk failed.

I like having an open source, free smartwatch OS as alternative to Wear.
On the desktop I'm using Browsers [1] and QTPass [2].
Unfortunately the client is proprietary, but the note format is open. 3rd party clients also exist, like an Android app.
I develop a lot of cross platform apps using Cordova. While this works pretty well, and indeed in recent years support for this is only becoming better, it remains that Webview based apps always feel just a tad off.
> Recent versions of Qt use the native style APIs of the different platforms, on platforms that have a native widget set, to query metrics and draw most controls.
Flutter looks pretty different from React Native on one side and Cordova/webview based frameworks on the other side. Flutter is not based on webviews, but is also not using the native widgets but instead rendering custom widgets.
To me, this is a little weird. One of the downsides of Webview based apps is that it's harder to align with the native OS look and feel. React Native solves this problem, but Flutter clearly has the same problem.
It seems that the older frameworks like Iron and Nickel.rs are not (yet) catching the async train.
