Raz0rblade··on Fast multilayer perceptron neural network library for iOS and Mac OS X
But just keep in mind that neural networks beyond 4 layers are often not better. and most work can be done with 3 layers total.. (so that is one hidden one), having two hidden ones can just do some things that a 3layer cant.

But more then 4 is more often a bad design and usually overkill of layers for most practical usages.

Although theoretical there no math limit to the amount of layers in practical terms its more often calculation time that explodes to unless its a simple FANN based network but then still 3 or 4 layers is 95% of the time enough

Raz0rblade··on Visual Studio 2013, ALM, and DevOps
some new abandon ware

Yesterday i had to explain to some people i work with what Microsoft is, they dont know it, and dont understand it, they are used to android these days. And find the whole thing confusing why pay for it ?.. its hard to justify or explain..

Raz0rblade··on NSA: we can warrantlessly grab your data and keep it forever if encrypted
Well one thing they hate probaply is blowfish encryption. Dont use triple DES, as they where involved in it forcing it as a standard.
Raz0rblade··on Poll: Do you have a 3d printer?
i am planning for a DIY mostly because of i want to be able to produce something fast (not waiting on delivery), and because i like the engineering part.
Raz0rblade··on India Supreme Court rejects Novartis' right to patent new version of cancer drug
Read about evergreening first if you dont understand it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evergreening
Raz0rblade··on Einstein’s ‘spooky action at a distance’: 10,000 times faster than light
It is so simple, this is the same object seen over 2 places. Think of a fishing tank, the side glass wall and the front glass wall show the same fish. And that's i hope an easy to understand example of an extra dimension, it solves many physics problems add a dimension.. As the fish swims in the tank, both walls show change in position to and no need for communication at all, its just one fish.

you need proof for extra-dimensional existence just take all those experiments that could be solved by it .. double split... spooky action .... and many more.. (even quantum computers inner working)

Raz0rblade··on What is your best programmer joke?
if ((boy | girl)|Marriage){boy.freewill = false;} else if (boy != (boy | girl)) {boy.drinks = true;} else if (boy == girl){gay = true;}
Raz0rblade··on What is your best programmer joke?
no there are 10 types of people does that can can count and those that can't, its a binary joke.
Raz0rblade··on Is speed reading really possible?
I also use spead reading once in a while. I can read realy fast going through large documents To be able to find something quickly I once got a huge document on my desk 3400 pages, and i had to decide if we would do that project, please try to read it. To their surprice i fineshed reading and pointed them on the hard parts of it, they never thought anyone would be able to read the entire doc in just a few hours for the deadline.
Raz0rblade··on Russian meteor largest in a century
And there was no link to the other meteor that passed earth today ??. Or did Nasa coverup that it didnt knew what trajectory it would take. It seams unlikely to me that those two events are not related.

I mean recently Nasa found some anomaly on Mars too, and then they say "no its not interesting its just erosion; (mars has next to none atmospheric pressure btw) i mean if i where a geologist, then any curious shape even if it was made by erosion would attract my attention i would take samples; and most likely such samples would be more interesting then dust-hole digging. What has become from NASA i wonder. Once they where explorers curious.. now they only call their device curiosity

Raz0rblade··on Python trademark at risk in Europe
Python is from 1980 first public release 1998 So to a judge ask them the meaning of prior art. One cannt copyright what allready exists in the public domain, even if it was not copyrighted. You only need to proof you where earlier.

Reminds me of apple-samsung and phone shapes, and then someone found an old startrek movie allready showing such devices.

Raz0rblade··on I am under surveillance by Canadian agents, my computer has been backdoored
try a different computer for example android / linux or something exotic much harder to backdoor compared to windows
Raz0rblade··on I made $200K and PayPal locked my account
Maybe make it work using a different bank system and IBAN payments IBAN is international, you might consider opening a IBAN acount in Venezuela. I'm in europe and i like Ideal much more then paypall. As "Ideal" is much more secure. Other options might be bitcoin, or maybe game dollars wich can be changed to hard valuta like lindendollars ...
Raz0rblade··on I’m Tired Of Companies Ripping off our site, So I’m Calling Them Out
Get a life and get used to it. Overall its just a design, you think its great, and at least a few agreed on it and copied it.

There is no copyright on web pages. Web pages are there to be seen and thus their source to be copied. By even watching your page its in my cache now. I could copy it and use it.

If you where a little bit smarter some .js code might have protected for easy copying, but you didnt do that, who to blame ? you perhaps?

Raz0rblade··on Someone got the natural gas report 400 ms early
BTW 400ms rules out that someone had a closer internet connection. As in 400ms light travels 119917 kilometers.

Someone sure new something earlier. But those high frequency traders don't go by names, and so never can be put to normal justice.

Raz0rblade··on White House Considers Joining Publishers To Stamp Out Fair Use At Universities
If a student starts working at a company and uses such info. Then that would make some companies get information for free. While other companies or private persons have to pay for it. that's unfair it discriminates people and companies. The law should be equal to anyone and not favor some lucky. Basically any tax payer makes universities possible and so all their information should be free.
Raz0rblade··on Someone got the natural gas report 400 ms early
OR WOULD THEY RATHER HIDE SOMEONE ? names of the first hfst traders crash where never made public also..
Raz0rblade··on Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server will have Git support
But .. Lets face it, the PC is dead, and servers might be next. Its time that Microsoft starts to look at Android and Yahoo OS, to take at least something from their pie
Raz0rblade··on Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server will have Git support
Java just doesn't scale, if you want fast code you wont use java. C++ one of the best, and for quick development c#, you can always invoke C++ libs in C# anyway and both are supported in visual studio. If your into webdevelopment even there java is slow.. despite it has some fun libs, but most people use them because their lazy programmers, a good programmer wont rely that much on much external libs
Raz0rblade··on Kim Dotcom's recipe to stop piracy
what a joker, we used to call that the internet, then it was called appstore, and now its... i'm not buying it anymore anyone can code for free these days has he ever heard of linux ?

Raz0rblade··on Battlecode: MIT's longest-running hardcore programming competition
Try this virtual life emulation much cooler

And slightly less retro, if your on mitt challenge make it 3d

Raz0rblade··on Mega Man 2 (NES) password algorithm and code
He licensed his code, which is kinda strange since he took the algorithm from another program which he didn't owns. I wonder the real legal status of his code and license
Raz0rblade··on Keeping Safari a secret
must have been easier to use an ip filter and base the identifier on ip... duh..
Raz0rblade··on Algorithm improvement for Coca-Cola can shape recognition
i think you dont need to be a consultant in this, i mean its pure technique, if your technical and understand math, then you might be able to make something. you need the spirit of hackaday to be working in it, and dont think of goldmines, there is lots of competition. on the positives lots is done at universities (and they lack a lot of practical insight). So there is room for improvement, you might try to build your own coca colla finder just to train yourself.
Raz0rblade··on Perl is 25 years old today
should have died 20 years ago its an awful language in my opinion
Raz0rblade··on Apple will invest $100 million to bring Mac production back to the US next year
this is a small amount of money for a company as Apple. might likely be a tax evasion maneuver
Raz0rblade··on Apple will invest $100 million to bring Mac production back to the US next year
this is a very small amount of money for a company like apple so is it seriously, or just some strange tax jump ?
Raz0rblade··on Why C++ Is Not "Back"
Welll it seams this person is right to me, i did some c++ and c# and a dozen of other languages in the end its more often about development time that make up development costs.

And if your software is slow, blame it on a slow computer, these days there are fast computers much more faster then the old days when speed and short code where seen as an art. The slow computer is a customer cost upgrade, while taking extra weeks of coding is a softwarehouse cost upgrade.
