Refusing23··on If it is worth keeping, save it in Markdown

but thats added 'on top' of basic markdown, so when you open your markdown file in some other program it looks weird

Refusing23··on Toyota completes phase 1 construction of futuristic city
Looks a bit like "Aarhus Ø" in my city. a part of the city that is quite new.

https://aarhusoe.dk/media/owqjyq0b/dji_0091.jpg - the construction site in the corner is done now, its a very very tall building that looks similar to the one in the center - just... very much taller.

it's a terribly crowded place, and i hate it - but at least the apartment buildings look different than all the ol 'red brick cubes' from the 40s and 50s we have in the rest of the city (You can see some of them in the background in this picture)

Refusing23··on Low-carb diets work. Why does American Diabetes Assoc. push insulin? (2024)
the keto diets work

studies on 'low carb' diets are varying in the amount of carbs, some go up to like 30% carbs (Daily intake) which is crazy, but 'low' compared to the overall dietary guidelines.

There's some good keto studies though.

i've tried it myself.

keto diet, mainly dairy and meat, ate 2 meals per day. one at 2 PM and another at 7ish PM, and 0 carb energy drinks, not much exercise except a walk to the local supermarket every couple of days. lost 16 kg over 3 months. I was unemployed at the time, and mostly played video games.

Refusing23··on Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System
I like jellyfin

but it still lacked some of the features that made me stick to plex (over VLC)

It'll become better over time, and probably much better than plex. plex dont do many new features, and there's still a ton of issues with it (like... audio is at like -50 dB and you cant hear shit)

Refusing23··on A secret poker game you can play on the subway
So you ask their age or what?

when is a women a women? and when does she become 'elderly' ?

you also cannot see if a teenager is 19 or 20.

Refusing23··on Turn any bicycle electric
this wont work on several lady bikes because how their frame is designed
Refusing23··on People are bad at reporting what they eat. That's a problem for dietary research
thats a problem for research that relies on food questionaires and thats been known for a while, and probably why there's even a thing called 'the french paradox' and so on.

but i get it

it's expensive to do properly, and so its not really done that often, and when it happens there's usually only a few participants.

Refusing23··on Google is making AI in Gmail and Docs free, but raising the price of Workspace

Refusing23··on A laptop stand made from a single sheet of recycled paper
doesnt look comfy to type on the laptop with that edge at the bottom. My wrists wouldn't like it.

also 22 bucks for a few grams of cardboard? seems excessive. but hey at least it'll break fast, cant handle moisture, and so on.

Refusing23··on I deleted my social media accounts

Refusing23··on TikTok tells staff impacted by wildfires to use sick hours if they can't work
Judging by the stories people have told online over the past few years, it sounds like a pretty standard american working condition...

Though i gotta be honest, i have no idea what the rules are where i live (Denmark)...

Refusing23··on TikTok tells staff impacted by wildfires to use sick hours if they can't work
I do remember world of warcraft using some funny trickery for their screenshots too. embedding client info into the screenshots, to figure out who took it. (If the player was under NDA or similar)

https://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-of-warcraft/world-of-...

difficult to spot if you didnt know what to look for

Refusing23··on TikTok tells staff impacted by wildfires to use sick hours if they can't work
