Say that it is borderline true (it's not, but let's pretend). Then companies can lay off 90 devs for every 100, and buy the remaining 10 devs Claude subscriptions. Isn't it better if they keep all 100 and buy everyone a Claude sub?
So shouldn't Anthropic actually be pushing the narrative that Claude doesn't replace devs but actually makes them vastly better at their jobs and so every company, big and small, should buy every dev the highest tier Claude enterprise subscription?
In fact, I would gladly use something like that and even go out of my way to invite some old high school friends over despite having lost contact with them and being an introvert.
Can you provide some evidence of this claim? "Nobody says nothing" probably works on reddit but I generally expect higher quality discourse on hackernews.
Edit: also this older concept image shows windows: https://www.jetzero.aero/hs-fs/hubfs/JetZero-Z4-left.png?wid...
I agree. We've had large and thriving online forums for at least a decade before upvote systems became ubiquitous and things were just fine.
So Starlink in flights seems like a perfect fit.
And with AI the path of least (initial) effort seems to be to just ask the model to solve it. It might get it wrong and then I'll prompt it again and again. But each individual prompt is fairly low effort on my part. Whereas coming up with the right solution myself might've taken less time but the initial effort is a lot more.
Last year I used to romanticize about building at least 1 thing each month completely by hand without any LLM coding help. The last such project I worked on was 6 months ago so sadly it's not going so well.
Great! So next time the human will prompt the agent to watch out for and avoid this bug.
