To date nothing has come close to Aperture's seamless blending of image organizing, editing, and metadata enrichment. I'm not holding my breath that an app that feels like DarkSky will ever come along.

Crypto is more accurately a pyramid scheme. But then so are precious metals and fiat currency.
The use of a zero is admittedly a relatively new concept, and it may not catch on.
Can it send commands back to the app from which it's receiving position data? Things like pause/play and adjusting the time being displayed?
For colleagues that I'm not directly working with but want to stay in contact with, I'll email them at least every few months with any interesting problems that I solved as well as the approach that are might be of interest to them. On my team, we'll regularly do tech surveys for advancing areas of our project, and the results of them will also get sent out. I also know their interests, and if I come across something they might like, I won't hesitate to send it their way.

We don't see much of each other during the day, as we're busy with our jobs. Not commuting frees up time for social stuff like meeting up with neighbors, going for walks or cycling, meetups, practical pistol practice/competition, etc. The stuff involving larger groups is on temporary hiatus, but stuff with another pal or two are still happening.
Several of my friends live in different states and we don't see each other IRL that often. I have a couple one-on-one and group Telegram chats going with them where we discuss a variety of topics, which is a surprisingly good social outlet.
Except for reducing the likelihood of getting high-centered.
