Although considering the comment being replied is a throw away account, I imagine that person is also a moderator who doesn't like debate to their troll comment.
There is cinematography in current virtual storytelling, such as firewatch, life is strange, and grand theft auto. While none of those are VR, they could be adopted to that medium as well. Cinematography is much more than camera angle, and lens choice, imo, especially in the digitally generated world. There are other techniques to lead the viewers attention, not so different than techniques used on a well made imax.
Also of interesting note, 360 moving image recording is not new, and has been around since the 1950s. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circle-Vision_360°
Cinema has always embraced technological innovations. There is nothing that says cinema has to be a shared experience. Semantics.
Strange how it's only TVs currently.

"Of course they were; that's how the NSA found out."
Right. Yet to our knowledge the NSA does not have delete privileges to the data centers, meaning that copies of his notes most likely still survive on either local or cloud based storage.
Currently I own a Korean Xbox 360, as I bought it in Seoul while living there years ago. Since moving back to the US I have not bothered buying any new games mainly b/c I don't want to deal with having to worry about region locking.
It will be interesting to see how ownership and digital files interact in the future. Do I even own any of my digital files?
Having said that, the world is changing. And we will see other inovation hotspots emerge, but I truly believe without diversity in people, it is harder to have diversity in thought , which can inspire innovation.
