So no the Prime act isn't a way for corporations to go around the rules, it's so small guys like myself can sell meat to people without having to truck it 800 miles.
Instead small farms such as myself are forced to do stupid things like sell the meat to somebody 'on the hoof' and then have it custom cut by a butcher, because getting the meat processed and cut at a FDA inspected facility, if you can get into one, adds $1-3 a pound. This also means I can only sell you a quarter beef or larger. Which most consumers don't have the money or the freezer space to do.
All I'm pointing out is should Taiwan be invaded, TSMC stands to be in a position to receive a significant infusion of government cash to bring that fab online ASAP. And once that FAB is completed the systemic risk of China to TSMC evaporates, and at that point I believe that TSMC goes to the moon.

The efficiencies derived by working 10-20 years in the same field and even the same position are lost with the modern workforce that barely gets trained to competency before leaving let alone staying long enough to build true efficiency and thus greater productivity.
I knew of 5 different ways I could have exfiltrated the entire PHI of every member without them having any knowledge of it and the SecOps manager just ignored it because they were “to busy”. Throw in archaic security requirements passed down from the BCBSA that do nothing to actually improve security but generally make it harder to work and you have a recipe for disaster.
Being able to stick one of these into a data center and get full access to a significant number of AWS services while being able to tell security and others that certain data isn’t in the cloud is priceless. People overlook the cost savings of being able to turn your Devs and DevOps teams loose on-prem and no longer be blocked by system admins who have no desire to help you increase your development velocity.

What service that gives us 2 day or less shipping. Has significant enough stock that I don't have drive all over town to 10 different stores to get 3 of the same thing. If there was a resource that had these features I would drop Amazon in a second.
This incident involved high voltage lines which are a different problem. Taking these down requires a bucket truck and specialized tools and training. Firefighters have a lot of training but most of us stay away from electricity. Not to mention they would essentially have to have a specially trained crew that is trained and educated regularly for what are once in a decade type incidents.
Scenes like this are an extremely rare situation, more then likely why it was highlighted in this group. Firefighters enjoy looking at cases like this and thinking about how they would deal with it in their jurisdiction.
I'm not going to spend hours researching proof for a topic that I've lived and experienced for more then 20 years of my life in that state. My lived experiences in Oregon are one of extreme environmentalism being a regular occurrence, including camping in trees to prevent logging, lighting privately held businesses on fire, justifying wolves killing farmers livestock, and actively working to take away access rights of public lands in the name of environmentalism. I'm not going to spend a day sourcing all of these claims as they are easily discoverable via simple google searches.

This type of fire behavior is nothing new. I’ve been around wildland firefighting since the early 2000s and we were seeing wind driven crown fires during those times every summer. We just called them big fire days and sat back and watched cause there is nothing humans can do to stop a fire with that type of behavior. Other then work nights and hope you can keep it out of the tops of the trees the next day.
“Frivolous lawsuits over the past 20-30 years have nearly eliminated logging from forest management, and our forests have suffered and much of the current wildfires around us are the results. What once were healthy, diverse ecosystems with early successional and mature forests are now too often monocultures of insect and disease-ridden dead and dying trees primed for catastrophic wildfire.”
