ZnerflBerp··on Less Popular Than Coal
How is it hysteria if there is no conceivable way that this will improve the material conditions of the people? If there is money to be made it will be funneled up, not down.
ZnerflBerp··on Less Popular Than Coal
Because rushed out power plants have a high chance of going wrong?
ZnerflBerp··on Less Popular Than Coal
Well yeah. But the profits are privatised while the costs are shared.

I'm surprised they even feel a need to trick you. They have access to the data and more than enough motivation.
ZnerflBerp··on Google will turn off search for schools that reject AI
Google is trying to behaviorally condition children.

The relative effectiveness of the search is immaterial.

This is gross.

ZnerflBerp··on Patrick Stewart taught us what good men do with power
Information and investment assymetry means there will always be election-winning rewards for dirty politicking. An actually effective politician, who has morals must balance the two. And they must try to be more skillful in general at politicking than their unscruplous rivals.

The theory is that inefficient companies die in the open marketplace, and bad leadership is inefficient.

This fails to account for the sheer scale and encumbancy advantages of massive corporations. It also fails to account that efficiency can be appallingly evil.

This makes them sound stupid, but there was a lot of outright theft and threats going around too.
ZnerflBerp··on Tesla Roadster
David Miscavige is a different kind of monster, I might even say more harmful. He's also less of an entertaining lunatic.
ZnerflBerp··on Tesla Roadster
His lies are what made him rich. He hasn't delivered even close to a majority of what he promised. We are literally supposed to be on mars 5 years ago according to him.

Parting fools from their money is not respectable work in my view.

I think people should be reminded of this.

ZnerflBerp··on Tesla Roadster
Where is the hyperloop? Where are the tunnels? Where is the mars program? Where are self driving cars?

He's a bloviating conman and no rational person should believe that this demo will ever see the light of day, if it wasn't faked.

This is completely outside of politics.

ZnerflBerp··on Tesla Roadster
You are so easily taken in by a conman, saying he's doing one thing while doing something else (destroying investigations into his charlatanism).

You'd have loved L Ron Hubbard back in the day.

They might choose to do that after gaining a cursory understanding of the actual inner workings of the organisation. Especially if that organisation functions differently than corporations.
ZnerflBerp··on Meta’s Muse is an adorable privacy and security dumpster fire
Actual Demon Thiel
ZnerflBerp··on The mental health of young men is declining. Experts warn it could get worse
Consequence of financial nihilism is a propensity towards YOLO plays - They believe that they will never succeed playing the game normally, so they are tempted to take the low % option
