ailon··on PWA on Windows. Part 1: Publishing Your App as Is
Well, not if you don't have any digital goods for sale in your PWA :)
ailon··on Public speaking for introverts
There a various definitions, but the one I like is: introverts exhaust energy while around people, extroverts recharge.
ailon··on Public speaking for introverts
I hear what you are saying and I've seen people who get paralyzed like that, but I'd say that 95% of the time public speaking is not something you must do. So, if it that "painful", I'd say just don't do it. The world won't end.
ailon··on Microsoft should be way more careful with messaging
The point is that this should be said during keynotes - the only thing that public sees. Only devs see breakout sessions, not decision makers.
ailon··on Samsung's Bada OS growing faster than Windows Phone
Yeah, my daughter (13) was explaining something to her friend like:

D: there's this thing on Android too F: what's Android?? D: your phone!

Still way more of Android users know that they have an Android phone than Symbian/Bada. Actually most likely no less than iPhone users knowing the word iOS (doesn't matter that much in iOS ecosystem though).

ailon··on Samsung's Bada OS growing faster than Windows Phone
Samsung is the biggest cellphone maker in the world and they put Bada on a lot of their phones and 95% of the owners of these phones don't know what Bada is. This makes total sense numberwise, but doesn't say anything about Bada's popularity. It's totally like Symbian was the biggest "smartphone" OS just a couple of years ago, just because Nokia was the biggest cellphone maker. Guess how many Nokia owners knew the word Symbian back then?
ailon··on AdDuplex launches the first cross promotion network for Windows 8
That's coming. We just wanted to start with technology that is closest to what we are comfortable with and then move into other areas.
ailon··on AdDuplex launches the first cross promotion network for Windows 8
And you consider this a spam story because ... ?
ailon··on First employee of startup? You are probably getting screwed
If you are going to work as an employee in a startup primarily for the money, you are doing it wrong already.
ailon··on First employee of startup? You are probably getting screwed
The question is: would someone working on 100k salary invest real 50k into a startup? And the answer is 99.9% no. They'll just spend the 50k on fancier food and other crap.
ailon··on Google Reader + Disqus would be a better Google+ than Google+
Robert Scoble actually blogs on G+. Other people do too.
ailon··on Google Reader + Disqus would be a better Google+ than Google+
My problem is that it tries to be both a replacement for Facebok/Twitter and blogs/RSS. I don't think that is what I want to see in one stream.
ailon··on Android income experiment - or why AdMob sucks
In PPV no one can defraud you with fake clicks. You are not paying for clicks. And generating thousands of impressions for fraud purposes is less trivial task than just a few clicks here and there.
ailon··on Android income experiment - or why AdMob sucks
With PPV you would've paid for impressions and, if these didn't result in any return, you'd know that it's not because of fraud/accidental clicks.
ailon··on Android income experiment - or why AdMob sucks
Or just use pay-per-view not pay-per-click model in mobile advertising http://blog.adduplex.com/2011/08/pay-per-view-vs-pay-per-cli...
ailon··on Dear procrastinator
Next task - start listening to the way I talk to myself. I'm going to get to it right after I check the twitter. Honest!
ailon··on Don't Automate Technical Administrivia in a Startup
It's not a text file and it's not the point. The specific task doesn't matter. And even if someone spent 6 hours only because he/she didn't know of some tool that might accomplish the task faster it's still 6 hours :)
ailon··on Don't Automate Technical Administrivia in a Startup
It's not a web server log.
ailon··on A tool to decide what your next fundable startup should be
LOL. There's always a refresh button ;)
