The rich have an us vs them mentality because the media demonizes them for working hard. I dislike rich people as much as anyone but the productive response isn’t rage. Rage gives the rich even more power and reason to look for more reasons to hide their wealth and exploit.
If you’re so convinced the rich have “harmed” you why not try to move somewhere where you believe your ideals are more aligned?
Taxing the super rich is a great idea, but at the end of the day the govt just needs to spend less money on programs that don’t work or aren’t needed.
AMZN PIP / workplace principles are also in their own league of Bs.
Also, claiming something is "resistant to 9mm" doesn't really mean "bullet proof". A lot of things are inherently impervious to pistol rounds, I can just about grantee 7.62x39 or 5.56x45 would sail right through the cybertruck.
Very curious of your thoughts on marijuana addiction if you’d be willing to share.
This was one of the first times I had to break off a friend because they refused to take care of their mental health. (But mostly a response to a psychotic break and political rant that I decided to walk away from instead of engage in)
I get it, people have to make a living. But please do it in a way where I don't die because some idiot decided to endanger others for $11.50 an hour.
The US can do better, but China and much of the developing world isn’t exactly helping.
It bows me away. That, to me at least is a rockstar programmer.
Him, Jose Valim of the Eixir project and the guy who wrote Asciinema (one of the best examples of a web / systems project written in elixir and phoenix).
Granted, I can at least get interviews. But with each rejection, even when I make it to on-sites that seem to go well, I just walk away feeling like I suck or should do something else.
It’s really hard to keep going like this at times... painful to see new grads out leetcode me / interview into FAANG right out of school :(
It’s still odd to me that my parents were almost offended when I signed forms that indicates I did not want to be on life support if I’m brain dead or forcibly resuscitated if I arrived at a hospital “dead”.
As someone who continues to fight depression, I don’t understand why others feel their opninions should have weight when it comes to someone else’s decision to live or not continue to live.
It’s important to remember that drugs affect everyone differently. But an antidepressant can be a good first step to getting out of a rut (even if exercise for SOME is as effective).
I’ve had a number of friends on both sides of the isle fall into the internet trap of politics, existential dread and dilution. A few to the extent of developing serious mental health problems, even college educated people.
It’s scary to watch this happen to people you know and love. Some might label me, but I enjoy not wasting time following the mainstream media / social media noise.
