All your SaaS products are generating revenues? How did you come up with the ideas/pain points for your products?

Thanks a lot for your answer! It helps me a big deal.

I was thinking about that these days. If I build it, will you be my first customer?

Wow, really useful answer there. Would you like to keep the conversation going on email and ask you other questions? My email is alin.rauta@thebusinessclub.ro. Thanks!

Great insight. Thanks a lot! Could you tell me please what forums did you use? Something like reddit?

Could you elaborate on this one?

Hey there,

I'm working on a solution that is aimed at helping developers speeding up the website design process. Choose design sections you like, customise them and then download the code. That's it.

Your feedback is much appreciated!

Thanks!

I think your hierarchy is pretty much realistic. I love what you're doing with workshape.io. I would like to chat with you more on the recruitment topic. Would you be interested? My Twitter handler is @RautaAlin

I had the same feeling in the beginning. It seemed to me so hard to have the credentials asked by a junior job requirements and felt very discouraged.

Thanks for your answer, bedros. How did you come with the idea? Did you first talk to business owners from a market you chose and derived the idea from talking with them?

Thanks a lot for your answer! I sent you an email

Do you consider learning how to code?

Hi,

I'm a self-taught web developer and I quit my job in business consultancy and hustled for 11 months before getting my first junior web developer job.

From my experience and numerous talks with other self-taught web devs I would suggest the following: - to start with the "why" and then with the "what" and the "how". What I'm trying to say is that you should start to learn to some extent how the internet works (DNS, http protocols, client/server cycle). - after that you can start with the HTML, CSS and Javascript and learn the plain languages and then the frameworks. I say that because frameworks come and go, but the language from which they stem remain pretty much the same.

If you want to chat more about this topic you can email me at alin.rauta@thebusinessclub.ro

I wish you the best in your endeavour! Alin R.

Thanks for your answer, @sawmurai. For me, the western part would be a better fit since I already have some working experience with french language. I would have to move with my girlfriend who is in the insurance business, so I guess Geneva would be a good fit for her as well

1. In which area of Switzerland did you move? 2. Which languages should you know besides english? 3. How did you find the job: online, recommendation? 4. Did you move with family or alone? 5. How many years of experience did you have?

Yep, I remember learning all those html, css, js stuff but I had no idea how a site works and all the server side, DNS, etc. SO true...

True that! For me, I find my mentor at my job and it feels that I learned an awful lot more from him than I would have learned on my own, so yeah, it's very important to find a sort of mentor.
