Hacker News Reader

andystepon Ask HN: What did you read in 2025?

Not a huge book reader, but this year two impressed me:

- Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich by Norman Ohler

- The Elephant in the Brain by Kevin Simler and Robin Hanson

andystepon Autogen: Enable next-gen large language model applications

i noticed autogen creates a new docker container each time code is executed by agents (default behaviour, can be turned off), so it's safe as you think docker is safe

andystepon Tell HN: Whole Yandex Git repository leaked

i guess it's about recent exchange of their news service to vk. not literaly sold to the government

andystepon McDonald’s to Exit from Russia

actually Russian propaganda interpreted this exact news as "McDonalds will be re-opened in mid June" [1] focusing on keeping jobs and suppliers and mentioning the rebranding
