anon11082016··on Jordan Peterson's book is a bestseller – except where it matters most
Man, I love how totally valid and normal thought is now labeled as "controversial". You gotta flag wrong-thinkers from the getgo right? Can't let anyone have any wrong ideas.

Just show her what they did to Donald Trump. Via a BS dossier, they wire tapped him and his associates.
anon11082016··on Testing the effects of hiding downvotes in r/politics
Just curious, isn't there some sort of "contest" or competition mode that hides scores? Or is that only for a particular post and can't be applied for all posts going forward and hence not applicable here?

Was hoping this had some effect, making it less of a one track cesspool of ideology but alas, not yet. There used to be some sort of discussion that took place on there but now it's all "fall in line" with the Narrative.

Maybe for the good of us all, maybe in that case they SHOULD have used Java ;)

Let's add another layer of abstraction and diversion, the trusty tax payer! /s

This of course, totally ignoring that government backed (everybody gets one no matter what) loans got us here in the first place...

anon11082016··on A list of ways to “Break the Internet” for the 48 hours before the FCC vote
Think of it this way, NN is like the post office being forced to charge the same shipping price and provide the same speed for two varying weight packages. A dumbbell vs a letter. The post office is a unique situation because it's crappiness is subsidized by the government and it can continue operating at a loss.
anon11082016··on Why doesn’t Apple make its devices as carefully as it’s making Apple Park?
I think it's worth pointing out that for #4, it's more like "cutting edge once we can wrangle an Apple experience around it". They didn't adopt NFC, quick charging, water proofing, and so on for a while after their competitors, albeit somewhat haphazardly, added those cutting edge features.

Oh my bad, you're right. Manually adding key and leading into isn't a forgery, it's "notes". Good catch.
anon11082016··on State of Startups 2017 Survey Results
Clearly not, because after all the effort, at least the valley has been making, it's still a cesspool of the same ideology. Even with VPs of dieversity and correct think

Are we still pushing the idea that superficial diversity is something to strive for? How about diversity of thought?

anon11082016··on The US is now the only country in the world to reject the Paris climate deal
Over 100 trillion dollars for _maybe_ decreasing the climate 0.03 degrees in 100 years. Have we stopped thinking about the negative consequences when making decisions? Material human damage and suffering would happen in pursuit of this "deal".
