Dont worry about the small things or the latest technology, it doesn't matter
anpk··on Patent application by USC: Fasting condition as dietary treatment of diabetes
Does that mean people can't fast without violating the patent?

How is that going to be enforced especially considering fasting is part of Islam, Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism?

Considering that its being publicly disclosed, this seems mainly for domestic consumption.

anpk··on China has built an elevated bus that travels above car traffic
> (d) People do pay attention when they cross the road. You have to, because cars can turn right at a red light and, even though they're meant to yield to pedestrians, they don't.

This directly contradicts your first point

anpk··on How to use your full brain when writing code
Is the 6 days a week requirement or is it nice to do? I do basic yoga for 2-3 days a week and I'm generally tired after.
anpk··on H-1B Willful Violator List of Employers

This doesn't factor in cost of living.

Thank you. I've been trying to come up with a good way to describe privilege and 'having the option to fail' is an apt way to describe it.
anpk··on Tech workers are increasingly looking to leave Silicon Valley
Actually there have been articles on how the tech boom in India is directly correlated to the 2008 financial crisis and tightening of H1B visas.

The reverse brain drain might not be long term but if that trend continues I dont think the western world has to worry much about jobs being lost.

These are opinion pieces. Opinion is not news.
anpk··on “Did Google Shutdown ____ Yet?” – App tracks status of Google's many projects
In India that site is known for tabloid journalism. I dont think that should be considered a valid source.
anpk··on Gaming the H-1B system for good
Can you provide some sources?
anpk··on Gaming the H-1B system for good
I understand what they are attempting, but I guess I was more intrigued by the "gaming" part. Was hoping they found some loophole, but its not very interesting if they are acting as regular recruiters.
anpk··on Gaming the H-1B system for good
If you are acting as any recruiter, how exactly are you gaming the h1b system?
anpk··on Gaming the H-1B system for good
So the solution is transfering them to triplebyte and then match them to a startup?

Who pays them in the meanwhile because I believe its illegal to be on H1b and not be employed (being paid)?
