azat_co··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (February 2019)
I've been working with DevelopIntelligence for 3+ years as an instructor. They are a good company.
azat_co··on Confessions of a $20K bootcamp graduate
Creating a dev bootcamp is not easy. I was there in almost the very beginning as a guest instructor. It's hard. Hack Reactor did a great job overall. It helped change the lives of many. The ROI is 200-300% over traditional CS degrees.
azat_co··on A bill in Congress legalizes cell phone unlocking and fixes the DMCA
I was with fixthedmca and grassroots.io during StartupBus and Sina works at the same office with me — the cause is important and the new design is very good!
azat_co··on Inside a Completely Transparent Company
Great to see you guys promoting being more transparent!

Disclaimer: HackReactor is not a dev bootcamp. It's intensive 12 week in-person course which covers JavaScript, Ruby, Node.js, D3, Meteor.js and other technologies and takes students from 0 to employment: http://hackreactor.com

This app was created Mike Adams, graduate of Hack Reactor dev bootcamp 12 week course in San Francisco, CA. http://www.quora.com/Web-Development/What-are-the-most-impre...

"My My Hack Reactor classmate Mike Adams' app Instahood is pretty cool. It shows recent Instagram photos from any location you choose. When you first open it, you see photos at your current location. Then you can look at pictures wherever else you want, either by clicking somewhere on the map or by searching for a place (with auto-complete!)

He used Meteor (web framework), the Google Maps API, and the Instagram API."

azat_co··on Instahood — geo Instagram
yes, it's meteor but you need to click on the map to update
azat_co··on Fix the DMCA
So far no major bugs, good job!

azat_co··on Color schemes for Sublime Text 2 and Textmate
Gorgeous, many thanks!
azat_co··on Show HN: An IDE for poets

    All night we hack,
    And sleep we lack.
    We eat junk food,
    The code is crude.
    Nevertheless,
    Friends are impressed,
    When in the morning,
Our post on HN* is roaring!
azat_co··on Founder Stories: The Ups and Downs of Startup Life at WeddingLovely
Nice post Tracy! :)
azat_co··on Smashing Node.JS book is out.
Thank you for a great book on NodeJS (my fav). And special thanks on making it available on Kindle/Amazon.com (my other fav) !!! :)
azat_co··on Keep a programming journal
You should definitely re-read it and if you a mac user there is dayOne app.
azat_co··on Ask HN: actions.im - the new community platform focused on empowering people
I would improve UI/UX, otherwise good job Sergey! :) PS: you can use "Show HN: blah blah" to show your projects.
azat_co··on Walking out of an interview
Could you point what was his expectation culture wise and the company's situation? What exactly he didn't like except the wrong questions?

I wish I left some interviews early :)

In the end it's important to leave on a good impression for future connections but probably those people (in your friends company) were arrogant immature kids in the first place and they don't care about good future connections anyways. In this case don't waste your time. Same for the interviewers - please let the people know early on and save their time instead of being "polite" and dragging them into meetings multiple people (usually with the same dumb questions) or even stretching interview process into multiple days!

azat_co··on Chezjj: Itinerant Hackers, Scientists, Cylons

Thank you!
azat_co··on Bootstrap 2.1 released
Oh wow, I love the new doc website. This is so cool! Keep up the great work!
azat_co··on LaunchRock Acquires Giftiki, Collaborative Gifting Service To Shut Down
Gifting service is very crowded place and yet there is no company that solved the problem successfully but there a plenty of "dead" companies tried to do gifting and social gifting.
azat_co··on PHP 5.4.6 released
This makes me sad. I have been self-taught PHP developer for 10+ years but after I "discovered" Ruby on Rails there is no going back.

For those of you who still thinks PHP is the best thing - don't give me bad karma :)

azat_co··on Pilot Rapid Prototyping with JavaScript and NodeJS Class
Right, but what people are actually using on their work if they want to stay competitive and efficient? Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. Not theoretical concepts.
azat_co··on The market doesn't care about your overpriced valuation (Failbook)
Nice article, William! :)
azat_co··on What I Hate About Git
Interesting point of view but it please try to learn your tools better next time you write an article :) And try not be a hater, it only harms you and not doing any good.
