amusing you criticize windows updates here where the macos update schedule is woefully inadequate.
behringer··on IBM CEO says open weight models are now good and cheap on-prem
You've stumbled on exactly why the big providers are lobbying for regulation and big claims that Ai is unsafe. They don't want you running these at home.
behringer··on The Goose Programming Language
This product is proof that you apparently either don't know how to use AI, haven't used it within the last 3 months, or don't know what you're talking about.
behringer··on Publish fake stats, get cited in LLMs
It can certainly make judgements on the data and how it was obtained. You just need to specify the kind of data you will accept (or this can be hard coded)
behringer··on Publish fake stats, get cited in LLMs
Reminds me of the people whining about Wikipedia. AI can know or care if the data is fake, it just needs to be programmed to cross check or rate the source. You can even tell it to do that before accepting the data.
behringer··on Bitwarden Dual License Model
that's what legally dubious means. If you're on the losing side you're screwed.

How about jist enforcing the laws we already have.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
It is inevitable. You can ban it but that will only drive it underground. The technology is too good, it will never go away.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
It certainly is. People will put up with scraps only for so long before the system comes down.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
Most of it is...
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
You just have to use it for a week to realize it should be a standard part of your tool set like your ide or your debugger.
behringer··on eBay Restricts Listings of Radio Equipment, but Exempts Ham-Band-Only Gear
More regulation. If it's not regulation it's more taxation.
behringer··on Someone on Torrent Sites Kept Fucking with My Sonarr
It works great. Family loves being able to self serve media requests.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
I'm all for it, free AI allotment and universal income is the future.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
How do you steal knowledge? Knowledge shouldn't be locked up.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
I wouldn't trust their products simply because AI as a tool works and their refusal to use it means their software will be worse off for it.
behringer··on Libreboot 26.10 "Ominous Olive" released with UEFI, Chromebook support
All things are built on knowledge that came before it. In what way is AI built on stolen labor?
behringer··on Switzerland proposes banning profiling-based ads to minors
Considering grocery stores around here in the US are now running gambling machines I think you underestimate what grocery store operators are willing to sink to.
behringer··on Whatever became of holography? (2011)
Maybe if you could figure out a digital work flow with digital development method it could really take off. But holograms are analog and hard to deal with.
behringer··on Bitwarden Dual License Model
That is legally dubious and doesn't help you when you don't want to self host
behringer··on Bitwarden Dual License Model
Public code is not open source.
behringer··on A city-building game in which the city would prefer you didn't
The only way to beat this game is to not play.
behringer··on Bitwarden Dual License Model
That's not what's happening here. They're making their app closed source with closed source features. Time to find a new provider.
behringer··on 15-year search for a band that charted once and vanished
I get that, but if you can't find it with a normal search on archive.org it's worth uploading for a dedicated page and a few details.

I'm setting up my own retro lab atm and would love to use this but the only way I'll ever find it is by coming back to this thread and hunting for it. I guess I'll upload it myself when I get to it.

behringer··on The value of not getting to the point (2015)
It could be. Or maybe she just wanted to enjoy his company for a while, fly around in the clouds until she had to make her final approach and make sure to stick the landing.
behringer··on Trump administration is suspending Microsoft from a green card program
If Republicans started prosecuting crimes there'd be no republican politicians left.
behringer··on 15-year search for a band that charted once and vanished
Upload it anyway so we can find it easier!
behringer··on ChatGPT is adding real cartoonists' signatures to fake New Yorker cartoons
Adding a fake credit may be intended and is fair use. The problem is redistributing it, which falls squarely on the computer operator.
behringer··on High Diesel Prices Bankrupted 16 Trucking Companies in Just 30 Days
Would be nice if it actually worked that way. Here in my state we've paid for the tollway 50 times over but we'll never get to stop paying a premium over and above the repairs.
