I would bet Google's track record would easily allow them to defend this in court. More an issue with Google though.
If they are using over a certain percent of any public utility (and yes ALL utilities are public) the utility should force it to be disclosed.
There really seems to be no figure in tech that sets a moral example right now. Not enough people in power calling out obvious crypto scams, not enough holding the line against gambling addictions.
I mean probably the most worshipped tech-ish billionaire (trillionaire?) is a perverted man child with a chip on his shoulder that is either a troll who should never be taken seriously (yet is allowed to be CEO of a company with control over ICBMs) or an outright nazi.
So no nation in history should have been allowed to have a military to defend its loot or to acquire more loot.
Really no different than when there was suddenly online personas everywhere hyping up TSLA out of the blue. You can see the same thing going on with the BoringCompany subreddit. Crazy that the botnet master isn't able to convince us that Grok is also the best model. I don't think buying twitter was an accident it was probably just literally covering up the evidence.

Doesn't even seem that crazy when you consider the government is already licensing them to be able to use their private data anyway. Biggest issue is someone didn't set it up this way from the start.

I don't think dumb is sufficient to explain this. It's pretty easy for me to see how someone leaps from this de facto legal system to outright fraud, because the line between them is pretty thin.
but very cool when they do exist https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floating_island
