bradgranath··on GunBlood – Western Shootout
Is something supposed to happen??
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
Heh, you got me there. But, it seems like the only legal way to make them unreliable. Have considered turning it upside down, covering or spraying it with paint, or just straight up picking it up and putting it in my van and driving it out to the middle of nowhere, but pretty sure I'd only be able to pick off a few of them before I picked up serious charges.

Mebe could design a sort of cattle guard like snare to embed in my driveway that passes humans, but eats hoverboard wheels.

If you need insulin for emergency purposes, call fucking 911, please for the love of god, don't manage your medical emergencies with app based delivery couriers.
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
THIS. They are so fucking slow, and drive straight down the center blocking the whole sidewalk.
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
Thanks

I don't want a creepy remote control beach cooler filming me period.
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
That is how picket lines work, yes.
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
There is no way in a cold hell that fucking UberEats would ever be brave enough to accept the liability necessary for that to be a thing.

1A says she is free to protest human workers by getting in their way in public. Do you think picket lines are illegal? Why is this different because they're robots?
bradgranath··on Retired Penn professor arrested for blocking Uber Eats robot
I do this whenever possible. I honestly don't understand why these aren't constantly vandalized. I just wanna peacefully protest them like this ex prof, but there's plenty of folks out there who'd like a free meal that's rolling by in a beach cooler that stops when you stand in its way.
bradgranath··on South Korea says AI agents appear to have been used to hack the country's banks
Ah, yes, the famously secure Korean Banking system. Lol.
bradgranath··on Where did all the public bathrooms go?
Jim Crow
bradgranath··on If your agent commits a crime, who is responsible?
TurboTax has a guarantee. If they fuck up, it’s their fault and they will fix it. If Claude fucks up, Anthropic gives zero rats asses what happens to you afterward.
bradgranath··on If your agent commits a crime, who is responsible?
If you on purpose press enter, and run code you know nothing about, it’s still on you for pressing enter.
bradgranath··on We charge $10k a week to delete AI-generated code
$333/week doesn’t quite seem like enough to live on. How many of these are you planning to run concurrently?
bradgranath··on Does average person understand that all disc media dies too?
What's an Analog Audio CD?
bradgranath··on I was wrong about the Midjourney ultra-sound scanner
Name some other groundbreaking medical equipment that was brought about by VC funding, please.
bradgranath··on I was wrong about the Midjourney ultra-sound scanner
Or maybe, because it's not really useful for much.
bradgranath··on I was wrong about the Midjourney ultra-sound scanner
It's a Theranos situation.

>>That ambition is very positive to me.

...and this is why people fall for it. Every. Single. Time.

Literally everything they're saying is marketingslop gobbledegook. No studies, no papers, no doctors; just "500k transducers," and "30fps!" Anyone can wire that up. With a little cash, you might even be able to stream, record, and proccess it. Still means absolute diddly squat if you haven't compared it to other imaging or figured out how to train a radiologist to use it effectively or done trials for specific diagnostics or diseases.

They'll figure out if it does anything other than show you an animated cartoon xray of yourself later. After they have your money.

bradgranath··on I'm So Tired of Ads
I actively avoid products that are advertised to me. It’s an easy shortcut to “Tell me your shit sucks without telling me your shit sucks.” I honestly don’t understand the type of advertising that does not seek to inform, but rather annoy you into buying the product. Has never made any sense to me at all.
bradgranath··on Show HN: I Dedicated 4 Years to Mastering Offline Password Cracking
Are you drunk? He’s lucky Google and Amazon haven’t noticed yet. If he wants to keep access to his accounts he should pull them down immediately and distribute via torrent.
bradgranath··on Ask HN: When did computers stop being fun?
https://overthewire.org/wargames/
bradgranath··on Ask HN: Who is using OpenClaw?
Yes. They are all lobsters.
bradgranath··on The FCC just saved Netgear from its router ban for no obvious reason
The obvious reason is bribes.
bradgranath··on AI users whose lives were wrecked by delusion
Qou Bono?

Sure is strangely coincidental that the specific delusion that is induced ends up manifesting as: “Gee, I should start a company that pays OpenAI for the use of their clearly superior software.”

bradgranath··on Two insider cases we've recently closed
They found two cases?

Lol.

4 Stars. Go home and tell your mother you're brilliant.

bradgranath··on The shadowy world of abandoned oil tankers
This is literally everything wrong with the tech industry in a single comment.
bradgranath··on Man shot and killed by federal agents in south Minneapolis this morning
Really. That is exactly what happened.
bradgranath··on Proof of Corn
This is the literal definition of a Reverse Centaur.

bradgranath··on Blender 5.1
Yet Another Major Release in which the texturing system has remained unchanged since V1 and isolated from the nodes system.

Oh well.
