bratwurst3000··on Lobbying is corruption
yes and bribing politicians was kind of legal in germany till 2024, yes two years ago! They even bragged till the 90s with how much money the got from industry because it meant they had a better reputation industriewise

this one is new https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/stgb/__108e.html

edit:: honestly germany is maybe one of the most corrupt countrys in the world because it was not only legal but best practice to work with the professional advise of the industry.

bratwurst3000··on Apple decided not to roll out Siri in EU after denied request for exemption
the idea was to have less of those things people buy and consum on the way and throw them away and the wind puts them put of the trash and now shitload of plastic everywhere .... i switch between clean beaches in europe to cigarrete and plastic straw infested ones on other parts of the world. As a european i like thos clean beaches etc
bratwurst3000··on Discovery of Cold War-era rare Eastern Bloc computers in a German hangar
maybe it takes the edge of. my city was completly destroyed by bombings. took 15 years and it was back again and germany was ok after war. I hope the best for ukraine. It is worth it
bratwurst3000··on Discovery of Cold War-era rare Eastern Bloc computers in a German hangar
little anecdot. I have a garden in my hometown in germany and the garden was only so cheap because it is impossible to build on it because it has wayyyy to many WWII Bombs underneath and its not economical to get rid of them.
bratwurst3000··on Reading for pleasure is sharply down among schoolkids, report shows
imho its the screen vs no screen that is the problem. Its better to have one thing for a task . for example one notebook one alarm one instrument one book etc. Our brain aint made to have so many thing cramped in one device. I think when i open a screen my brain sees all the functions of the device and cant focus well. But if I read a book my brain knowes this is the book about this and that and nothing else.

yes i wished i had safes some of my best examples too. One i had was super weird in chatgpt pro. It told me that after 30 years my interest would become negative and i would start loosing money. Didnt want to accept the error.

bratwurst3000··on Matrix messaging gaining ground in government IT
mostly the federate aproach. Most people dont want to think about anything network related.

Element is ok as an app imho

bratwurst3000··on When internal hostnames are leaked to the clown
hmmm I am 50% with you. Imho to be an amazing engineer is to see a problem and find a good(whatever good means) solution. Beeing a good scientist is asking precise questions and finding experiments validating them.

I think its more the nuanced difference between safety and security. Engineers build things so they run safe. For example building a roof that doesnt collapse is a safe roof. Is the roof secure? Maybe I can put thermites in the wood...

this is the difference. Safety is no harm done from the thing itself Engineers build and security is securing the thing from harm from outside.

to conclude the article. We still donw know how the brain works.
bratwurst3000··on France dumps Zoom and Teams as Europe seeks digital autonomy from the US
airbus is owned by germany and france to each 10% and spain 4%. Things get interesting if you count all the owners from the states together they have ≈ 12%. But it is controlled by Germany france spain.
bratwurst3000··on France dumps Zoom and Teams as Europe seeks digital autonomy from the US
for example EU privacy laws can be ignored in the states with for example the cloud act. having control over software and infrastructure is protecting the rights of eu citizen in that regard.

bratwurst3000··on Study: Older Cannabis Users Have Larger Brains, Better Cognition
it doesnt. It does things with the region of the brain that is asociated with memory we still dont understand. Honestly in my peer group, weed or no weed, people behave mostly the same memory wise.
bratwurst3000··on Study: Older Cannabis Users Have Larger Brains, Better Cognition
i see your point but think about it this way. A bowl or a joint holds a certain amount. People fill mostly the same amount and dont regulate it by thc content

bratwurst3000··on Kidnapped by Deutsche Bahn
Kids are stupid and follow what adults do. If I judge that I have the time to cross the street at red light without getting hit by the incoming car doesnt mean that the kid standing next to me is even seeing the car and crossing right after me.....

Showing kids good example is good. What you mean is showing them bounderies. Getting shit drunk in front of kids and telling them how much fun it is but they cant do it is behaving like a child

bratwurst3000··on Kidnapped by Deutsche Bahn
trains can be superfast. For example a tgv from strassbourg to marseille is 5-6h. Same with car is for me 8h. Bus is even slower so I would wildy guess 12h. Plan is btw 1 1/2 hour.
bratwurst3000··on Kidnapped by Deutsche Bahn
yes but there are so many cases where they took the worst of the worst and gave them high profile jobs with way way way to much power for high ranking nsdap members.

Rheinhard gehlen and everyone around him is a something that could have been prevented.

And so many high class nazis where in such good positions because they where experts on anticommunism. For the americans and brits it was "safer" to give positions to exnsdap officiers then people from the SPD(socialists)

Gehlen kicked even the only high ranking spd member in secret service out

for god sake they even hired klaus barbie. that guy had entertainment partys where the guests could torture jews homosexualls etc... and he killed most of french opposition. Got hired from the bnd and cia as expert on anticommunism

Germany didnt change much..

fuck we even voted a full member of the nsdap as chancelor. Kurt kiesinger. Yes we had two Nazi chancellors!!

honestly the only reason the denazification was shit was because most people at power at that time where kind of nazis.

edit:// btw the DDR had somehow solved the problem and didnt had as much nazis in high position.

bratwurst3000··on Kidnapped by Deutsche Bahn
Frenchman here and so true. I was taking the bus and it was stuck in traffic and I was like "hey can you let me out I life right in that street and shit aint moving" .... no fucking way. had to wait 10 minutes and then walk back to my place... driver was completly ghostinh me after he said the magic german words " I am not allowed to do this".

In france they Busdrivers let me out between stops if I ask them before.

Germany is crazy rule obsessed. they also have the crazy mentality that if you put it into rule problem is solved xD

bratwurst3000··on Hungry Fat Cells Could Someday Starve Cancer
you are right now I better understand what you meant.

That was the part that confused me.

"If it does negate the benefit than that would suggest that the entire benefit from the beige fat is from putting the body in a calorie deficit, and you would then expect the exact same effectiveness from calorie restriction"

As far as I understood the paper its beige fat that can eat away food from cancer and not white fat. And afaik calorie restriction doesnt augment beige fat. My error was thinking you meant calorie restriction while having white fat but you meant with beige fat? And yes this makes sense.

And I thinked autophagy because this is the main "thing" happenkng while fasting which is not burning body fuel

thanks for the answer

bratwurst3000··on Hungry Fat Cells Could Someday Starve Cancer
in all respect sorry this is wrong. this is a broad misinformation. It can enhance but also supresse cancer dependig of soo much we dont know yet enough to know if fasting is beneficial or dangerous.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/cam4.5577

edit:// and the article has imho nothinh to do with autophagy. Its about beige fat cells eating stuff away from cancer not autophagy wich happened in the innercell. And if you go into caloric deficit you could burn away those beige fat cells that "heal" the cancer.

bratwurst3000··on How I Left YouTube
yes thats true if you survive it. Have two friends with a salary over 300k a year. one worked 5 years and retired the other bought more luxury products to reflect his income and is now completly burned out after 3 years but forced to work because of his 300k a year lifestyle
bratwurst3000··on The biggest heat pumps
yes for heatpump specific problems that are based on faulty installation.
bratwurst3000··on The biggest heat pumps
no people are stupid. Smart meters are paid by the grid operator like everywhere else. Friends of mine got one and it was 25€ a year for it. Yes germans are very stupid. we fight everything new because we think this country worked rly well in the 80s and thats where we want to be 1980

Digital and Smart thats for othet countries.

I got air air heatpumps for 3 rooms 1000€ a room and it slashed my heating cost to 1/3. And I have to explain that its not foor cooling but for heating and then the response is " heatpumps are like 20k plus you liar" or " heatpumps dont work in the cold" ... germans

Still many people dont switch because the read somewhere about magic costs that dont exist. Russian Gas propaganda is big here
