cadeos··on Show HN: I made a game where you build a CPU from logic gates
Great idea, get it in front of the kids ASAP!
cadeos··on Show HN: Mergd – Folder merging for macOS where nothing is ever hard-deleted
Interesting. Since 'losing' files are sent to the Trash and operations are journaled, if a merge is interrupted and rolled back, does Mergd automatically restore those trashed files to their original locations to ensure a true rollback?
cadeos··on Show HN: Pilot Protocol – a network where AI agents find tools and each other
How does your trust model sandbox these autonomous installs to prevent malicious tools from leaking the owner's data or draining their wallet?
cadeos··on Show HN: Paper – A Journaling CLI for Developers
Great project. Any plans to let users point the CLI directly to an existing Obsidian vault for the markdown files?
cadeos··on On AI
Your article highlights a fascinating tension about why we build things. If your joy comes purely from the act of writing code, your work never even needs to leave your room. But if you also seek community recognition—which is a completely valid and beautiful motivation—watching someone instantly achieve the same result via AI will naturally kill your enthusiasm.

Most of us fall somewhere in the middle. The healthiest approach is probably to embrace both: use vibecoding to rapidly ship great results, but treat manual coding as a purely aesthetic pursuit, much like writing poetry. There's really no difference between crafting code and painting, other than the lack of a physical medium.

I firmly believe that one day, beautifully hand-written code will be celebrated as a true, albeit niche, work of art.

cadeos··on Show HN: macOS menu-bar manager for SSH port forwards
Nice idea. I deal with port forwarding daily and this looks super handy. Any plans to add connection grouping or folders for those of us juggling dozens of environments?
