cassidoo··on The August 17 outage
That was a fun thing that the marketing and devrel team are still working on, turns out burning repos on the discs was a harder problem than anticipated (lol) but we'll get them out eventually, promise!
cassidoo··on OpenLogi
Real talk: is there any way to use this to turn my Logitech MX Master 4 into a wired mouse? I realized way too late that it (seems to be) wireless only and I hate that
cassidoo··on Stacked PRs are now live on GitHub
Currently same repo only, fork support coming soon.
cassidoo··on Thanks HN for 15 years of support and helping me find my life's work
It's good to hear this, as someone who has considered the remote version for a future me at some point!
cassidoo··on Astro 7.0
I upgraded my website recently and it's exciting! That being said, I admit my builds didn't get faster (they actually on average slowed down a bit). Hopefully that improves, but worth noting.
cassidoo··on SOTA genome interpretation with agentic AI: Interstitial lung disease case study
This is really amazing.
cassidoo··on Show HN: Monolisa v3 – a typeface for developers and creatives
I have used MonoLisa for more than 6 years now (I was one of the first early users!) and it's still my favorite font to this day! It's the best. I particularly like how wide it is for teaching and sharing screens. It's really legible and nice!
cassidoo··on Time to talk about my writerdeck
I also made a writerdeck! They are the best: https://cassidoo.co/post/micro-journal/
cassidoo··on Pricing Changes for GitHub Actions
This has been updated.

cassidoo··on Days since last GitHub incident
Thank you all, sharing internally now to get that fixed! Super appreciate the feedback.
cassidoo··on Days since last GitHub incident
This should have been fixed here: https://github.blog/changelog/2025-12-04-notifications-trigg...

Are you still seeing it, would you mind checking? Our team will get on it if so.

cassidoo··on The least amount of CSS for a decent looking site (2023)
I have a small bit of CSS that I also use, it's not perfect, but it gets the job done for a mostly text-based site: https://cass.run/basecss
cassidoo··on Getting paid is weird and sometimes hard
Enough companies made a fuss about it that I made the app for myself to save me the headache! Enough folks bought it that I think it's more of a pain than it should be
cassidoo··on Show HN: I made a tool to clean and convert any webpage to Markdown
This was more helpful than I thought it would be for almost the exact same use case, thank you!
cassidoo··on Show HN: Glossarie – a new, immersive way to learn a language
This app is truly the best one
cassidoo··on Show HN: Writ.ly – Easy online Markdown editor
This looks a lot like Stashpad Docs that came out today, too!

https://docs.stashpad.com/

cassidoo··on “Wherever you get your podcasts” is a radical statement
I wrote a somewhat related blog post a bit back: https://blog.cassidoo.co/post/open-standards-are-good/
cassidoo··on Kind of annoyed at React
Oh hey y'all, thanks for reading!
cassidoo··on Show HN: Heynote – A dedicated scratchpad for developers
This is cool, it kind of reminds me of stashpad.com too.
cassidoo··on Ask HN: What apps have you created for your own use?
I wanted to see what it would be like to make a game like Wordle, and made Jumblie! https://jumblie.com/

On the more productive side, I made todometer because I wanted a progress bar with my todo list: https://cassidoo.github.io/todometer/

cassidoo··on Trying out TinaCMS
Thank you!! <3
cassidoo··on Trying out TinaCMS
I did! I used to work at Netlify heh. I liked it but it was a bit too clunky for what I wanted (I admit I haven't tried it since Decap took over though).
cassidoo··on Trying out TinaCMS
Yes! https://github.com/cassidoo/blahg

Also, if it's helpful, I actually live-streamed my implementation and luckily a Tina maintainer was in the chat when I also struggled with the docs: https://twitch.tv/cassidoo

cassidoo··on Trying out TinaCMS
Oh hey that's me! Lmk if y'all have questions. I've been happy with Tina so far.
cassidoo··on Procreate Dreams
This is so dang exciting. I love that they don't do subscriptions, too.
cassidoo··on Ask HN: Where have you found community outside of work?
Church. It's not for everyone but if you find a good one with kind people, it's such a great place to be accepted and build community.
cassidoo··on “If you use React, you should be using a React framework.”
I feel like this is very much a political tweet more than a technical one, there's incredibly valid cases (as seen throughout this thread) for not using a framework, and it's a pretty broad generalization to make.
cassidoo··on Personal newsletters as a calmer alternative to social networks
Kind of a shameless plug for my newsletter, and also a nod in agreement. I love being able to share articles that I find interesting, share useful tidbits and stuff, and getting responses from folks who actually read it and want to talk more. I love the concept and hope more people do it!

Mine is here: https://cassidoo.co/newsletter

cassidoo··on Flipper Zero – Portable Multi-Tool Device for Geeks
I got one of these on the Kickstarter and for building key fobs and garage doors, it's been awesome. There's definitely room for growth but I'm happy with it so far!
cassidoo··on Ask HN: Where do you publish projects?
Usually dev.to is where I write about them, but I do kind of want to make my own self-hosted one.
