cebert··on StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month
I don’t think they’re gonna be long for the world

> I refuse to take a repo with an AI-generated readme seriously.

Well, good luck in professional development then. Love it or hate it, this is the way everything is moving.

cebert··on Apollo's Slok Says AI Has Delivered Zero Payoff Outside of Tech
[dupe] This was discussed yesterday https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50224463
cebert··on eMudhra to exit global SSL/TLS certificate business
Right? I don’t know why anybody would trust this company for anything.
cebert··on LiteLLM Security Update
I appreciate the detailed analysis in this blog post. It highlights how the security landscape has changed. AI session logs need to be guarded and secured.

I don’t think it is safe under any circumstance to continue using API keys or any long-lived credentials at this point. The risk is too high.

cebert··on The Developer Communication Handbook
I think it’s AI slop
cebert··on The obscure trust looming over Anthropic's IPO

cebert··on Ousted Savannah police officer gave ICE agent husband access to Flock system
How do you implement that with web apps?
cebert··on Anthropic's Own Staff Can't Use Claude Code's 'Bypass Permissions' Mode
Also, the site looks spammy. They want you to sign in just to read the blog post.
cebert··on Will major-party U.S. presidential candidate deploy AI clone to talk to voters?
I mean, the last two presidents we’ve had in the US were cognitively challenged geriatric puppets. I don’t see how it could be worse.
cebert··on Amazon Acquires DuckLabs and Integrates DuckDB in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
This is old news at this point.
cebert··on Why Clay Has an AI Writing Policy
I would love it if Clay adopted a similar policy for the AI generated emails they enable GTM customers to spam people with.
cebert··on What's New in React 19.3 and How It Changes UI Development
Yes. It prevented me from reading, so I moved on.
cebert··on Show HN: Put AI to work across your company
I don’t get why anyone would pay for AI slop like this. You could build it yourself if you wanted something like this.
cebert··on What's New in React 19.3 and How It Changes UI Development
I find it ironic that this is a site dedicated to front-end development and it doesn’t render correctly on mobile devices.
cebert··on VedaOS: The First Intelligent Hobby OS
I agree. I don’t find it interesting either.
cebert··on How the Claude Code team does code review
Anthropic is doing some fascinating work. However, I find their communication style frustrating. It’s clear to me their employees have near unlimited token budgets. When Anthropic team members share their internal processes, I feel they don’t appreciate the constraints that many of us face in our work with budgets.
cebert··on Tesla Roadster
I doubt it
cebert··on Frontier SRE agent trained by Datadog
I was hoping that this would be an open weight model, but I understand why it wouldn’t be in Datadog’s interest for this to be the case when they’re trying to sell Bits.
cebert··on New Withings Users Must Pay $99/Year for Apple Health Syncing
I can’t wait till somebody figures out how to reverse engineer these with a LLM so we can just sync the scale data ourselves. I purchased one of these devices, but I am somewhat regretting my decision now.
cebert··on New Apple TV 4K
I am not talking about ads within podcasts. When I am listening to an episode that I have in my library, I will get recommendations on other podcasts that I might like in the UI. Apple doesn’t give them the treatment that they are ads, but as far as I’m concerned, they are ads.
cebert··on Apple: Switch to Safari (From Chrome)
My only complaint about Safari is I wish Apple would fully adopt PWA standards on iOS. I believe they don’t want to because it would make the App Store less necessary.
cebert··on New Apple TV 4K
> Apple (mostly) isn’t in the business of selling ads. I’d certainly trust this over most other options.

Do you not use the same Apple App Store, Apple Maps, and Apple Podcast apps I use? The ads are becoming a real problem.

cebert··on New Apple TV 4K
Maps, the App Store, and the Apple Podcast apps are great examples of this.

It infuriates me that Apple Podcast slips in ads for podcasts I have no interest in as suggestions. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to disable that “feature”.

cebert··on Show HN: ClaudeGuard – fixes the MSIX bug that nukes your Claude Code history
I am curious if anybody’s actually going pay nine dollars for this.
cebert··on Lawmakers Introduce Multiple Laws to Curb Flock After 404 Media Coverage
Many media outlets have covered this and there’s been considerable citizen activism. It’s laughable that 404 thinks they’re the catalyst.
cebert··on Lawmakers Introduce Multiple Laws to Curb Flock After 404 Media Coverage
It’s laughable to me that 404 Media is trying to take credit for this.
