celurian92··on How I use LLMs to learn complex topics
I am really fascianted by this topic. Like i want to learn about lot of stuff that I couldnt easily and couldnt make time for and also learn critical thinking as well. But i feel llms cant help to learn properly.

From many research paper i skimmed ( without llm, from youtube videos though :p) i understand its the friction of not understanding and then getting +/- feedback faster with lots of iteration helps us learn fast. But for knowledge work it seems very hard as there isnt any verifier that can give me the mental mode that will evolve/extend my current mental model.

One feedback mechanism can be testing myself on the topic but software engineering related tasks are pretty hard to do without expermiemnt and experience.

celurian92··on Writing by hand is good for your brain
Silly question, if we believe the concept of evolution then we evolved to write by hands to materialize our thoughts. But as in some future we might not have paper to write on ( though we have writeable devices)

this gives me a question like when would our brain think its time to evolve from handwritting to typing and then typing to Brain computer interface so that we can write at the speed of thought?

celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
would love to know how can i improve if you can give some feedback like which part is confusing.
celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
will try it this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion
celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
Learning java is not that hard. I really love this language with all its quirks. so i guess i will be little biased here but its my fault not to represent the information in such a way that it can be more intuitive.
celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
the source is mostly the content tags in each blog posts. https://mohibulsblog.netlify.app/blog/ each post have some content tags. graph is based on that.
celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
sorry as UI was not optimized enough for mobile but my intention was to show the adventure of writing and learning more about java
celurian92··on I completed 100 Days of Java over 5 years and mapped the journey as a graph
I completed 100 Days of Java and ended up and it took me roughly 5 years.

Made an interactive map/index of the posts, linked by related topics. I made it to make the series easier to browse by concept instead of only by day number.

celurian92··on What 81,000 people want from AI
I work sometimes in frontend and mostly in backend but I cant still comprehend why are we going backwards. shouldnt the websites be so optimized that they should be able to run in normal pc / smartphone rather than s23 is failing to load it. I guess at least bigger companies have that kind of resource for optimization but still not doing it why?
celurian92··on An interactive intro to Elliptic Curve Cryptography
TBH i needed this when i was working on my undergrad thesis with ECC and ECDHA but thanks author for making this. Helped me remember all the fundamentals.
celurian92··on No Bookmarks
same here. That is why i came to discussion to find out how are people using those.
celurian92··on Tinkering is a way to acquire good taste
can it be like perceiving the value is higher making your taste as good as it is the value of it? can it be a placebo effect?
celurian92··on A Comprehensive Survey of Self-Evolving AI Agents [pdf]
I was thinking like your source of learning, it can be books, tutorial etc. I am not asking for blogs or tutorials made by you
celurian92··on A Comprehensive Survey of Self-Evolving AI Agents [pdf]
would love to know how? do you have any blogs or tutorials that I can follow to get started on making self evolving ai agents?
celurian92··on Ask HN: What API or software are people using for transcription?
I have used Azure AI services whisper model and for some other users Google Gemini 2.5

These worked really great for our usecase where we needed to transcribe from 6 different languages in production

celurian92··on Ask HN: If you were to relearn math today, how would you approach it?
The question and this comment[1] help me narrow down my real question which is

I want to learn enough mathematics that will help me to understand and learn about ML/AI and newer research and furthermore quantum computing.

Is that even possible? If so which topics I can target first? That will help me refactor and rebuild my foundational mathematical knowledge

celurian92··on An Unreasonable Amount of Time
I have silly question to anyone here who is willing to answer

I truly understand it takes unreasonable amount of time and dedicated focused effort to get good at something. But why is there any explanation for it? I know about the traditional neuro-sci explanation of myelin[1].

So my question is, is there any research on how to reduce this time? Like we all know life is short and as human we have interest in many things and we should specialize and try to go deep in one craft. But is there any way of getting closed to that master level performance in short practice-perfomance cycle

celurian92··on Learning to Learn
I so much agree with you. I understand and remember the things I learn more when I am having fun or it piqued my curiosity. But I guess shortness of time needs us to focus on the efficiency aspect of it too.
celurian92··on Ask HN: What is the best way to learn Erlang?
thank you so much. I will look into erlang in anger then
celurian92··on Ask HN: What is the best way to learn Erlang?

celurian92··on Why Architecture Oriented Programming Matters (2019)
Really intrigued by your comment. Can you please elaborate on the part of meta programming in java. I am trying to learn it in java. What will you suggest to someone who is working in java for a while to dive deep into it?
celurian92··on Ask HN: Share your personal site
My blog is https://mohibulsblog.netlify.app/

Nothing too fancy, just a static hugo site on github pages. I mostly write about Java and Javascript. Currently trying to complete my 100DaysOfJava. As its quite a tough thing to make time so trying to read and tinker with the concepts and then write.

The article i am most fond of will be https://mohibulsblog.netlify.app/posts/java/100daysofjava/da...

celurian92··on Welcome to Comprehensive Rust
what resources can you suggest to learn formal verification and implement it to make high integrity fault tolerant services? I am quite intrigued by AdaCore. Want to try it out. I dont know much about Formal Verification.
