cf100clunk··on Alberta votes to remain in Canada with 70% voting remain
Many anti-vaxxers became truck convoy scofflaws and Alberta separatists, with similarly bad results for them and collateral damage to everyone else each time.
cf100clunk··on Alberta votes to remain in Canada with 70% voting remain
A day later, the figures show ~75% voted remain.

That was as of 6.6, circa 2019, to be clear. I'd be interested in what they would have to say about 7.9 at present.

cf100clunk··on What was a Token Ring network?
I think you mean "went" and I wish there was a very brief plain text summary rather than a long video that I don't have time to watch. Anyway, I enjoyed the token ring comic and don't have strong feelings about the cartoonist now that he's gone.
cf100clunk··on What was a Token Ring network?
I just read through his Wikipedia entry and didn't see that he'd gone ''crazy'' unless you mean his political views? He's dead now anyways. I linked to that comic because I had bosses like that way back when.

Definitely an art deco feel to the interior when I disregarded later model telephones and apparatus. Poirot himself would waddle in and be right at home.

cf100clunk··on 13 Months Sober (2025)
Twelve-step groups have been using ''sober'' and ''sobriety'' for almost 100 years. In this day and age its surprising to see some confusion about what those terms can mean.
cf100clunk··on The large robotic arm on the International Space Station has stopped working

cf100clunk··on Vast Casino Secrets leak exposes inner workings of offshore gambling firms
''Files could have seismic consequences for online casinos, including those accused of illegally targeting consumers''

Gambling is a mug's game in the first place. Only James Bond ever beats the house. So, on top of that, online casinos are ginning up their addictiveness with AI and other analytical tools.

cf100clunk··on Invasions of Canada (1812)
Incorrect title since the link is only about the War of 1812. There were several other invasions of what became Canada, such as 1775, the Fenians, and the Pig War.
cf100clunk··on Nokia Design Archive (2025)
At one of our big Nokia meetings back then, one of the board members, quite elderly, joked enviously that all the imagery in our advertising and internal documentation showed young people ''jumping over things'' while holding a mobile phone. It was a heady time of paradigm shifts from phoning a location's land line in order to reach someone, to actually phoning them directly (call the person, not their location). So much of that imagery was very prescient.
