If you use chrome, they could just download your cookies if they really wanted to.
cleanchit··on Deep Neural Networks from Scratch in Zig
Machine learning feels a lot like cpu fabrication in that a homegrown solution is almost certainly going to be inferior to just taking whats on the market and configuring it to fit your needs. If you aren't going to specialize in this field, is there a point in learning how to roll your own ML anymore?
cleanchit··on ChatGPT could cost over $700k per day to operate
Damn, they released the hypno drones already?

cleanchit··on Joe Rogan Issues Warning After AI-Generated Version of His Podcast Surfaces
Biggest appeal of his podcast is that he's a brilliant standup comedian, and he uses that in his podcasts. That's completely missing from this copy.

I can't be the only software developer who's feeling scared.

cleanchit··on We need a more sophisticated debate about AI
The input prompt is their only sensory input.
cleanchit··on We need a more sophisticated debate about AI
Aren't ML models trained using a reward/punishment loop? (back propagation). If we have an AI that can learn from its experience, then pain will be failure to reach its goals and pleasure will be the opposite. Animals work in the exact same way (goal being survival and reproduction). We just need to make sure that survival and reproduction are never the goal (either directly or indirectly) of an AI and we should be safe.
cleanchit··on Auto-GPT: An Autonomous GPT-4 Experiment
Alright who plugged gpt into his hn account?

cleanchit··on Immutable Linux distributions
Yeah it's immutable but the build process is a pain in the ass. For nixos, the input is a couple text files and the process is a single command.
