codehalo··on GNUStep now has badges
Not GNUStep. They are the absolute worst. Miguel de Icaza tried to work with them, and had to leave to create Gnome.

Look at where they are and where Gnome is now.

Saddest story in all of open source.

Very telling.
codehalo··on Proposed SEC order to freeze, repatriate Binance.US assets
You should look elsewhere (even google) for advice or to understand cryptocurrencies. Avoid at all costs this site (extremely uninformed negativity) and YouTube (extremely uninformed shillers).
codehalo··on Proposed SEC order to freeze, repatriate Binance.US assets
>Cash solves most of these problems.

Modern internet finance on hacker news. I pulled a muscle cringing.

codehalo··on SEC asks for emergency order to freeze Binance US assets anywhere in the world
I don't know what "discourse" you are talking about. I've been reading about crypto on hacker news before bitcoin hit one dollar. Other than r/buttcoin and yahoo groups, this site has been one of the most anti crypto places you can visit, to the point of being an absolute embarrassment.

It has been a lesson to me about humans and intelligence since that time.

Still love the place though, but I learned never to let comments be the source of the things I need to investigate.

codehalo··on Coinbase Sued by SEC for Breaking US Securities Rules
Are you implying that cryptocurrencies can't or don't?
codehalo··on SEC Sues Binance and CEO Zhao for Breaking US Securities Rules
A lot of “decent” people here would testify against their mother if the SEC showed up. I’m not convinced. Gensler is a fraud who is captured by monied interests. He is on your side for now, given that many here share the “MIT crypto teacher” desire to destroy that industry. Let’s see how it all plays out.
codehalo··on SEC Sues Binance and CEO Zhao for Breaking US Securities Rules
The SEC has done nothing in good faith with regards to crypto in the last 8 years.
codehalo··on SEC Sues Binance and CEO Zhao for Breaking US Securities Rules
The burden is on SEC to prove these allegations. If they took YOU to court, calling YOU a thief, you would expect the burden to be on them, right?

codehalo··on Coinbase issued Wells notice by SEC
That’s the same question people were asking 14 years ago when bitcoin made it debut, and unfortunately still today on this site.
codehalo··on Do Kwon arrested in Montenegro: Interior Minister
The dinosaurs at the FED feel just the same as all those on this site that blather on bitterly about crypto waiting for it die. I can’t wait to read the salty howling at end of the year when crypto is at an all time high.
codehalo··on We asked the SEC for reasonable crypto rules for Americans
You are really struggling with this eh?
codehalo··on We asked the SEC for reasonable crypto rules for Americans
That's because they should not be regulating cryptocurrencies, and neither should the CTFC. It's a new asset class with very dynamic properties. Wouldn't it be better for congress to just create a new agency to handle it?
codehalo··on Coinbase issued Wells notice by SEC
I dont see how posting trivia about the SEC's origin take away from it now being moat protecting, outdated entity. It needs to get back to what it was designed for - 20th century regulation, they are clearly showing their uselessness in the 21st.
