That is why I found the Win 8 announcement so weird originally. Why let it compete against Windows 7, which is to me the best version of the OS by a wide margin.

My argument is that Zynga stole another band's style and lyrics but changed the presentation slightly. They did not build on the 'basic ideas' like having a certain set of instruments.

I agree with the almost all your points except about them stealing ideas. Ripping off the same game from indie developers is wrong. Unethical is way to strong. Though to me it seems overly aggressive and puts a bad taste in my mouth about company X.

It isn't about just trying them, it is about using them to medicate or escape other symptoms.

What if the things you are good at are not the things you love? What about the opposite? It is too complex to boil down to 'do what you love'.
