ignores everyone, my comments are fire & forget, don't expect a response and if you think I'm wrong, that is your problem not mine.

consp··on Anthropic S-1
When you underpromise and deliver sales will still tell you they could have sold the overpromise for even more and should have gone with that.
consp··on Every AI model has the same "controversial" take on humans
Where my parents live they leave the door unlocked, easily invite people in and there is strong social cohesion. Where I live that's invalidating your home insurance since it's "asking to be robbed" and people don't talk to each other or report crimes.

Difference between the countryside and the city I guess.

consp··on The same AI request emits 8.5 times more CO2 in Texas than in Sweden
Why not treat both as bad instead of pointing to whataboutism to make a point?
consp··on Woman charged with computer fraud due to scam CashApp account being in her name
I'm the recovery account to at least two accounts of real people with the same name (the people are real, despite the uncommon name). Don't bother reporting it via the link in the mails, it does nothing. I'm not even sure this isn't some Google shenanigans either.

If they put the match ratio value lenient enough to not reject a lot of people in bad lighting conditions you can make a dog match. So it's likely useless.

Boy, do I hate these PR websites masquerading as vulnerability reports. It's slop all the way down with these companies.

consp··on The Other Epidemic: Trying to get off benzodiazepines
8 hours of highly concentrated work is a unbearable load to do continuously for days, you definitely need some "normal" task as well. I can't imagine anyone claiming to do "12 hour work days" to engage in anything thoughtful for more than 12 minutes.
consp··on Eight Bits of Trust; eMudhra's CA keys cracked in milliseconds
Makes more sense.

I'm sure the Utimaco's used (haven't worked with one) also allow all slots to contain the same name or keys with the same name and the device always selecting the first one if you only provide the name and not the slot ID or token identifier. Don't ask how I found out the hard way.

consp··on Eight Bits of Trust: eMudhra's CA keys cracked in milliseconds
I would not expect anyone to be on the lookout continuously, but like the researcher doing a "yolo" and trying. There are enough people out there that it is likely to happen at least once in a while. Or for instance someone looking for a firmware exploit in a downstream device.
consp··on Eight Bits of Trust; eMudhra's CA keys cracked in milliseconds
I'm still flabergasted the HSM allowed this key to be generated. Then again, I've worked with HSMs, there are always many mistakes in the firmware, usually less severe though.
consp··on Eight Bits of Trust; eMudhra's CA keys cracked in milliseconds

Why not? There are examples of RNGs providing very poor entropy which might be a reason to check it (looking at you Sony).

consp··on Upcoming critical PHP security release (CVE-2026-109618 / -109619)
That got nuked by the looks of it.
consp··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
The great depression was just as much a wealth concentration at the cost of the 95% as is happening now, history will repeat itself. Speculation followed by wealth inequality followed by tarifs followed by reduced international trade. Sounds familiar.
consp··on AfD Leak: What 421,179 Hacked Emails Show about the German Far Right
History should be a lesson on why. Wouldn't be the first time a German far right party became a dictatorship from a minority rule.
consp··on How Quickly Can the DoD Rebuild and Recast the Munitions Industrial Base?
Add a frontline draft (no exceptions) to that and let's see how it goes. You can manage away cost but not that.
consp··on I love software rendering
Using the extra unpopulated memory slots on your VGA card to get that 1024x786 at 256 colors. 800x600 is the largest which will fit in 512k of video memory at that colors depth, or getting 16bit color space in 800x600 due to having doubled your memory from 512k to 1024k. And those were definately the software rendering days, every ramdac needs it's own memory pool.
consp··on 900-Page Pre-Pantone Guide to Color from 1692 (With Complete High-Res Scan)
Aren't pantone colours most of the times a spot colour in branding at least in large volume printing? (fifth and sixth rollers if available) Or are most of the prints done solely on cmyk these days?
consp··on 900-Page Pre-Pantone Guide to Color from 1692 (With Complete High-Res Scan)
I've never read about a cohesive color theory from those early printing (well, early, two centuries in) days so I guess it would likely require a setup of a lot of colors and shades might be more difficult. But I'm not limited by any actual knowledge here and just spitballing.

Then again, it might be worth the effort and time to print several of them but cost a pretty penny.

consp··on Blood cells from 80-year-old donor become stem cells with molecular age under 20
I'd say famine is equally as likely if not more at scale.
consp··on Hackers activate automatic defrosting in supermarket fridges across Europe
> You don't want them to beep loudly if someone forgot to close the door.

Why not? It works as an alarm, is simple in design and requires no external input.

They need to be checked 3x per day anyway for temperature so someone will notice eventually. And checking temperature must be product core temp so no remote monitoring. Unless haccp changed massively over the last 20 years to "we don't care anymore".

consp··on Why aren't AI companies being charged for hacking?
Then let them tell us wat the reason is. Otherwise the option: all of the above, also applies.
consp··on The gap in shared understanding of LLM capability is widening
And I thought that building your own castle and hoping your moat is wide enough was always a losing strategy in the end. We shall see how it ends this time.
consp··on Man discovers his parents' coffee machine used 1TB of data in 10 days
I know, but that is not obvious and you are directed towards the accept all button, hence the dark pattern.
consp··on Man discovers his parents' coffee machine used 1TB of data in 10 days
And nice dark patterns to not allow you to reject that.
consp··on Man discovers his parents' coffee machine used 1TB of data in 10 days
See the site this post is about. Only ~1700 trackers, and only an accept all button. Likely at least one is doing this.
consp··on Study: Claude, ChatGPT Offer Different Shopping Prices Based on Wealth
So it is doing what SEO and tracking also do. Make everything more expensive for the same result.
consp··on California closed the Montana license plate loophole
Don't know about California but running a car without a catalytic converter while stationary and having kids in it would imho be child abuse via poisoning. And those enabling it should be liable.
consp··on Denmark Data Breach Exposes 8.8M People's Personal Data
I learned a few days ago from a friend, when the other leak at the university was reported in the Danish media, that the "random" part is only 4 digits and as a bonus is sequential. So if you register in the country as foreign citizens together with your partner those are likely sequential.

Then again, in my country some municipalities handed out numbers starting with your birth year....

consp··on Denmark data breach exposes 8.8M people's personal data
It used to be illegal here to reverse look up a name matching to a phone number, since it was "owned" by the state telephone company and they didn't want that happening. But you were allowed to reverse look up the address of a number and then look up the person and match it to the number. So that magic happened under the hood. The trick was getting the residential information but since that wasn't a problem in the '90s I'm sure it is even less of an issue now.
consp··on All I wanted was a custom domain email
My uneducated guess: Bragging rights or portfolio plastering.
