They'd be better off learning to budget, shop, and prep food alongside you.

I struggle to see the teachings behind watching little brown men bringing meals to the door.

Maybe now that the trackpad doesn't have to mimic a touchscreen they can give us proper buttons again.

CPC should take down the punching bag if they're tired of it being used.

His last book was an excellent, yet heartbreaking read.

Cheap li-ion e-scooters and bikes are here to turn all these advancements back.

Call of Duty lied to him.

No it's quite dissimilar. Streetcars in Toronto travel in mixed traffic in the middle lanes and deposit passengers into the right lane of traffic, which is expected to stop behind the open doors. What happens if the right lane is occupied by stopped traffic? You have to sit and wait while the passengers do their thing around the hopefully-attentive driver of the stopped vehicle.

Being in mixed traffic, streetcars are easily blocked by disabled vehicles or straight-up idiots. The time between launch and one of these things sperging out and blocking streetcars will be measured in minutes.

Yes, this shit again. Rolling more steel boxes through the city is not the answer.

Way too far. I don't want my desktop to look like a puzzle straight out of Myst, or a reinvention of Bob.

That was Compiz iirc. I remember turning it on for a laugh.

Actually, yeah. Wax rings, gaskets, supply lines, maybe a flap. Maybe not an entire fill valve, but they're available at any small hardware store.

Whoever curates the Edge homepage knows they have mere seconds to capture a new recruit before they manage to escape to a different browser. Their jobs depend on the amount of bait they can dump in one window.

I'm currently reading a book on a local mafia boss, and the best the church could do, when he was finally popped, was refuse to host his funeral.

>> The US is one of the few (arguably the only) countries holding the barbarians at the gate

>This has to be a joke. There is no way anyone on this planet is so deluded and misinformed.

No kidding. Donald Trump just opened the gate.

So we've upgraded from the simple switch, that's good.

Now I'm imagining drivers swapping tubes as they stop for a quick charge.

With a peptide chaser.

Nothing tops the middle-aged man I spotted in the iphone 3g days, sporting his on his belt, screen out and always on to show off the fact that he had all the apps.

Apple doesn't even have to pay them, just give them a chance to feel special with a new palette of colours. Who really thought they'd be unique for choosing the orange phone?

Properly funded public education.

I still love my 5800X3D. Drop-in upgrade from a 3700X so I kept my board, RAM, cooler, everything.

Luckily, for the bean counters, the dead can't speak.

I've yet to find a more suitable use for a tablet. Maybe the whole device class is cooked.

I installed some HP slide-out rackmount keyboard/monitor units that used these as the host connection. This was back in the days when PS/2 was still around so they usually weren't used.

Canada. No gated suburb necessary, just a walkable neighbourhood.

The marketing kool-aid must flow. Many other earbuds have swipe volume, but because they aren't open-ear Apple gets to claim this amazing breakthrough.

Yeah about that, 16 is indeed far too young but it's somehow what has been agreed upon, no doubt whole-heartedly by the automotive industry.

Where I live they are dismissed on their own as young as 8, and so long as they have a safe way home then a couple hours alone isn't going to hurt. There are enough electronic distractions at home now that they won't turn to delinquency.

15 is bonkers. There should be no need to keep your teenager on-leash for that long.

It's counter-culture and I'm here for it. I had a fun convo with my daughter about why rail cars are so frequently tagged. More fascinating are the hidden pieces in tunnels and the like, where only few people will ever see it.

Are you trying to conflate wildlife tracking and monitoring with this police state dragnet? If so that's a wild take. I'm pretty sure modern wildlife tracking practices are not what's at stake here.

All that karma farmed with paywall bypass posts. Kinda greasy.
