dabber21··on Go 1.27
will 'go fix' take care of this?
dabber21··on uBlock Origin is giving up the fight to keep ads off Facebook
Out of spite they should have a block list, blocking every meta related service, disabled by default... for now
dabber21··on Measuring Input Latency on Linux: X11 vs. Wayland, VRR, and DXVK
It's their time, not for you to decide how to spend it

Not P2P but Delta Chat
dabber21··on EU Parliament greenlights Chat Control 1.0

dabber21··on CS2 Fog Of War: Server-sided anti-wallhack occlusion culling for CS2 servers

dabber21··on One million passports leaked online
I will never upload a picture of my passport or id online, ever.

I only recently started IDing myself online via eID (german) if available, before that it was usually that I went to the post office and get verified there

dabber21··on Privacy-preserving age and identity verification via anonymous credentials
I just recently used my ID to register for a lottery website using the AusweissApp the first setup was a bit annoying, but once you are registered its actually easy to use and apparently you don't even need a phone you can use a card reader on your PC as well

When I feel like I have a virus I usually put on my hoody which I only wear when I feel ill and a scarf and before going to bed I drink a lot of herb or ginger tea (like two cans)

this is will heat up your body and you get some night sweats, this usually helps reducing the sick time.

I can't say if it actually helps, but its become a ritual for that occasion

dabber21··on Streaming services are driving viewers back to piracy

dabber21··on Matrix Is Not Safe for EU Data Privacy

oh wow, all streams are starting at once on that page
dabber21··on Games run faster on SteamOS than Windows 11, Ars testing finds
"To test the performance impact of this operating system choice, we started with the SteamOS version of the Legion Go S (provided by Lenovo) and tested five high-end 3D games released in the last five years using built-in benchmarking tools..."

those games come with benchmark tools

dabber21··on We identified a North Korean hacker who tried to get a job at Kraken
I wonder if something like eIDAS could help here (at least in EU countries)
