danbars··on Show HN: UpToWhere – Visualize What You Can See from Any Point on Earth
Super cool! The interface is a little slow and navigation on the 3d map could be improved, but still I like it. For example, I think the view should be anchored to the pin and when I drag the map it should behave as if I'm turning my head around or up/down. Don't make me use different controls for different movement directions because it's hard to navigate that way.
danbars··on Show HN: Sequor – dbt for API Integration
Maintaining integration code is hard, no matter how you turn this. Even with your approach, you're still going to have to update your code every time Mailchimp, for example, are updating their API. If integrations is not the business you're trying to compete in, I truly think that you should use an automation platform. There are many to choose from. Use Make or Pabbly as reasonably priced options, or even n8n self-hosted if you need internal automations only.
danbars··on Show HN: I Made a Caricature Maker
I like the pricing model which is credits and not subscription. However, the language is a little misleading since "upgrade" and the tier names are suggesting that it is a subscription. IMO, it should be simple "buy x credits", "buy y credits".
danbars··on Ask HN: Do tech companies avoid hiring cynical candidates?
I don’t think this is unique to tech companies. Cynical people often create a toxic environment that discourages open expression and kills creativity. I’m not referring to occasional cynical remarks that might be humorous, but rather to people who are persistently cynical about everything, which can be truly damaging.
danbars··on Show HN: Diagram. Animate. Export. All in One Place.
It looks really nice. Ideally I'd want diagrams to be animated svg. There's no reason to stream them as video.

Nice, but I think pricing model should not be a monthly subscription. Most people need these things occasionally or for some project that they're working on. I'd consider non-expiring credits purchase. I know it's not MRR, but I think it has a better chance getting people to pay.
