dlvhdr··on CodingFont: A game to help you pick a coding font
No Commit Mono :( The GOAT - https://commitmono.com/
dlvhdr··on We mourn our craft
Another post saying 6 more months.. i’m so tired of these
dlvhdr··on Boring Go!
Is the image ai slop?
dlvhdr··on Getting syntax highlighting wrong
The white color literally has the best contrast on the dark theme and for me stands out the most. So this achieved the opposite (for me)
dlvhdr··on Vibing a non-trivial Ghostty feature
yeah the usage of "vibe coding" here doesn't fit at all. That term is so overused.
dlvhdr··on Vibing a non-trivial Ghostty feature
People are really bad at evaluating whether ai speeds them up or slows them down. The main question is, do you enjoy this kind of process of working with ai. I personally don't, so I don't use it. It's hard for me to believe any claims about productivity gains.
dlvhdr··on Vibe engineering
Please stop with all this vibe bs. Seems like a desperate attempt at getting viral.
dlvhdr··on Show HN: Enhance – A Terminal UI for GitHub Actions
It's not really 5$ a month. You can pay for just one month and then cancel the app. You can download it and use it even after that 1 month just without getting the updates. What really happens behind the scenes is that you just get removed as a collaborator from the project. So what you have locally (either the whole cloned repo or just the binaries) is all yours.

I am thinking about implementing one time payments but really it's a way of trying to sustain all my OSS projects for the long term.

dlvhdr··on Show HN: Enhance – A Terminal UI for GitHub Actions
Hey! So you get access to enhance, my github actions TUI. And you fund my current OSS projects as well as future ones.
dlvhdr··on GPT-5: "How many times does the letter b appear in blueberry?"
Except we realize they’re illusions and don't argue back. Instead we explore why and how these illusions work
dlvhdr··on Batch Mode in the Gemini API: Process More for Less
The latest price increases beg to differ
dlvhdr··on Gemini CLI
Yes i would like to generate videos of a cat on an airplane. Such value, much wow.
dlvhdr··on I am disappointed in the AI discourse
Well it isn’t searching the web, it has a cut off date, and it takes bits of info from various sources often distorting them, hence it’s not a search engine.
dlvhdr··on The AI skeptic's guide to AI collaboration
I don’t get the “just spend more time with AI” argument. Its not a skill, stop trying to make it one. Why should I spend 30 days with it? The only thing that would accomplish is taking the soul and joy out of everything. Everyone just sound like they don’t like coding.
dlvhdr··on Learn to code, ignore AI, then use AI to code even better
Or just keep learning and ignore AI
dlvhdr··on How I use LLMs as a staff engineer
Another article that doesn’t introduce anything new
dlvhdr··on Show HN: Diffnav – a diff pager based on delta but with a file tree, à la GitHub
This is great! Thanks for sharing. I am using neovim so zed wasnt the inspo. I saw charm release a tree component and it was just what I needed for my gh-dash tool. I then thought why not make it a standalone tool
dlvhdr··on Show HN: Posting v1 – The modern HTTP client that lives in your terminal
This is amazing
dlvhdr··on My Git and GitHub workflow – an efficient yet messy setup
Git is a complex tool that offers a lot. Maybe to make sense of it we need a lot of tools? This is my terminal based setup.
dlvhdr··on My favourite Git commit (2019)
I do appreciate them but they’re just a pain to write sometimes
dlvhdr··on The Renaissance of the Command Line
Learn about innovations in the CLI, how a terminal emulator actually works, and finally write a simple terminal app using Bubbletea - a modern library for building terminal UIs.
dlvhdr··on Ask HN: How do you manage – and remember to manage – your to-do list in 2022?
I use TickTick. It has a global shortcut to quickly add a new todo.
dlvhdr··on Show HN: gh-dash – GitHub CLI dashboard for pull requests and issues
Yeah I’d really like adding that
dlvhdr··on Show HN: gh-dash – GitHub CLI dashboard for pull requests and issues
Yup :)
dlvhdr··on Show HN: gh-dash – GitHub CLI dashboard for pull requests and issues
Haha thanks man, appreciate it :)
dlvhdr··on Show HN: gh-dash – GitHub CLI dashboard for pull requests and issues
Yeah I use gh pr open —web
dlvhdr··on Show HN: gh-dash – GitHub CLI dashboard for pull requests and issues
Thanks man :) I don’t really cache the issues, they are just stored in memory. So if you close the tool, it will refetch them next time.
dlvhdr··on Stacked changes: how FB and Google engineers stay unblocked and ship faster
This is exactly what’s missing in Github. Amazing job!
