domainkiller··on Show HN: Train your own image generator (Stable Diffusion) for free
Would love to talk about adding the API to a new cross-platform AI art tool I'm building: diffused.app

Also, your support email is bouncing back.

domainkiller··on Why are React component libraries so complicated compared to Svelte?
A year and a half ago, I moved my app Nomie from React Native to Svelte (PWA) and have never looked back.

It feels like when I first started using React after living in Angular Hell for a few years - refreshing.

domainkiller··on Ask HN: What are the best unknown books you have read?
The Universe in a Single Atom https://www.amazon.com/Universe-Single-Atom-Convergence-Spir...
domainkiller··on Open Source mood and life tracker – Nomie is now open
I've been working on Nomie for around 5 years. It started out as a vanilla JS app, then ported to Ionic 1/Cordova, then ported to Ionic 2/Cordova, then ported to React Native...

Nomie 4 is now a combination of all previous versions ported to SvelteJS - which I am absolutely loving.

domainkiller··on Ask HN: Do you have a side project you want to sell?
Constantly worried about hackers... the "how i'm stealing your credit card data" post brought my level of stress to the max.

I don't think I'll ever stop tracking and continue to use Nomie. Since it's purely offline and device only, like Alien Blue it should keep chugging for a while.

domainkiller··on Ask HN: Do you have a side project you want to sell?
Nomie let you track anything you wanted. You created different trackers like: Drank Coffee, Peed, Smoked Crack - you customized the inputs, then with a single tap could track your life away. Then you could see how the things you track affect one another.
domainkiller··on Ask HN: Do you have a side project you want to sell?
I built Nomie (https://nomie.app) over the last 5 years, the data that people track with it IS INSANELY personal. So much that the stress wore me out and I ended up shutting it all down 2 months ago.

I'd love to sell it, but I'm too afraid of giving it to the wrong people. Every investor or potential buyer wanted Nomie for the users data, not because it was actually helping people - GTFO.

domainkiller··on Period-Tracking Apps Are Monetizing Women’s Extremely Personal Data
one of the reasons I built nomie was for my wife to privately track her cycle.
domainkiller··on Why Bitcoin may soon be worth nothing
What in the hell was that?! Is this supposed to be a news article or something.
domainkiller··on Critique My Plan: API Key for Authentication
An auth/security lib from the company that leaked a billion users PII?
domainkiller··on Decentralized Web Primer
Wouldn't a single-page-app connected to a remote datastore work?
domainkiller··on Simplicity: A New Language for Blockchains [pdf]
doesn't feel simple :|
domainkiller··on Ask HN: Projects that don't make you money but you're doing it out of sheer joy?
Nomie! https://nomie.io The easiest way to track any aspect of your life.
domainkiller··on Don't use || to set default values in JavaScript
fruit = (fruit === undefined) ? "strawberry" : fruit
domainkiller··on Replacing Dropbox with BitTorrent Sync
I've currently (slowly) migrating from Dropbox and BTSync to Syncthing. I'd say you might have a glitch in the matrix if BTSync is running that high without any active transfers.
domainkiller··on B2B e-commerce Beta Launch : Galloi.com
Before you try to market this further, I'd recommend you start busting ass to get products in there. Nothing more depressing than a ecommerce ghost town.
domainkiller··on Reasons to use a paper-based task manager
You're 100% right. However, I wasn't happy with their final product.
domainkiller··on Reasons to use a paper-based task manager
It might be, but when my daughter showed me the photograph she took - I was sold. She's 15.
domainkiller··on Reasons to use a paper-based task manager
I'm that guy and I always have my phone. But, I'd be willing to bet that from a standstill with nothing in our hands, I could write down a task to my Corbinizer faster than you can find the app, launch it, type it in and save.

I was excited about Siri as a final replacement for the Corbinizer, but even now I'd rather not scream my tasks at my phone during a meeting.

domainkiller··on Guy created this marketing tool on suggestion from someone on Reddit
This looks like a great set of tools - but the font is killing me!
domainkiller··on Ask HN: I'm a high school student. Is my job searching strategy flawed?
In my humble opinion, firing off an email is a lost cause. HR folks are blasted all the time and it's really hard for them to "separate the wheat from the chaff" as they say.

Your idea of getting in touch with the employees is the right direction. You need to connect with someone personally from these companies. Connect with them on LinkedIn, hit them on Twitter, friend them on Facebook. Be wherever they are.

Also, consider posting your resume and cover-letter within a Hacker News posting asking for advice... oh wait...

domainkiller··on [dead]
Fucking awesome!
domainkiller··on Ask HN: What do you do with your unsuccessful ventures?
If you can let it run without it taking your time, then let it run. You never know what could happen in 6 months or a year. I have a few websites that I completely ignored and just let run, over time some of them slowly but steadily started generating revenue.
domainkiller··on Ask HN: What would be a good web dev laptop under $1.3K?
In my opinion your best bet is the MacBook Pro (with a SSD). It gives you a ton of the *nix commands + the ability to easily run Windows or Linux natively or via a VM. Plus the hardware quality is top notch.
domainkiller··on Anyone doing a startup in embedded systems?
I've been planning out/working on an home router app for the last 2 years. But I'm only used to pushing bits, not atoms.

I'd love to hear how someone successfully released and launched an embedded system. +!

domainkiller··on $Response = stopAllThisPHPBashing(please);
Well this is awkward, the proper function is stop_all_this_php_bashing();
domainkiller··on 5 reasons Ubuntu 12.04 won't be my main OS... yet.
Thanks Klez, this does look like pretty damn close. The reason I really love 1Password is that it works on Android and iOS too, giving you a truly central password manager.
domainkiller··on Ask HN: Any exemplary PHP codebases out there?
I've really got a tech-hard-on for Laravel http://laravel.com. It's an up and coming MVC framework, and just a joy to work with all around.
domainkiller··on Ask HN: My wife needs something to do from home to make money...
It's what ChaCha was supposed to be, I guess they still are.
domainkiller··on Be careful when you search domain name through godaddy
That's why I ended up building my own domain checker, it takes a keyword and queries for .com, .org, .us, .me and .co + it looks up to see if the Twitter username is taken or not. Also highly recommend DomainTyper (http://domaintyper.com)
