drunkcatsdgaf··on T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T phone calls are failing across the US
some other maps are showing the same stuff, but DDOS maps are inconsistent due to how the data is gathered. None of them are truely a panopticon.

I have my own theory that these sites are actually the ones astroturfing this stuff when services go down.

I actually advise against digital ocean if your privacy is your main concern, as they mention in their terms[0] they will pretty much hand over anything requested.

plus, remember when they took out 38,000 websites because the Yes Man made a parody site?[1]

regardless, DO is known for shooting first and asking questions later, does this seem like the type of provider you want to use for a VPN?

drunkcatsdgaf··on Ask HN: Facebook Graph API – No more public access?
Yes, but it wasn't always the case for public information.

for example, you were able to view zuckerberg's basic details by visiting graph.facebook.com/4, which isn't the case anymore.

Whats your point? that the 20 year old web service used what they had available at their time?

They also didn't get as much traffic as TBP, since there wasn't that many connected back then.

I would also imagine that they didn't have to HIDE their services either.
