I have been using an M1 setup with three screens for the last month. For the first two monitors, I use one usb-c port and one hdmi. For the third monitor, i use a Startech usb-a to htmi adapter using display-link. It works.

My understanding is that you can sell stock (that might pose a conflict of interest) tax-free when you take a government role. I presume that a hedge fund manager such as James Comey would have significant unrealized capital gains that he could sell prior to taking his government position.

I agree that lotteries are close to one side of the risk scale but real estate is closer to the middle than to the other extreme. The other extreme is U.S. treasuries. The last recession was a great illustration of the risk inherent in real estate.

There are still many other countries with cheap labor (Bangladesh, Pakistan, lots of Africa etc). It will still take a few more decades for the majority of the whole world to get out of poverty (assuming we don’t go off the rails).
