The game generates the worlds using automation even when playing normally. Have you even played Minecraft?

Claude is so absurdly bad about false triggers for security. It kept triggering when I asked it questions about how to plant some tree saplings I got because somehow that was a security risk.

Anthropic is a joke of a company.

emdash··on Microsoft and CMU Team Up to Train Early Career Software Engineers
Are you sure that AI model progression and the height of your family members are 35 is related? It seems unlikely but I guess you'd know better than I.
emdash··on The gap in shared understanding of LLM capability is widening
Let's look at the past ten years.

Food has gone way up in cost and down in quality.

Private equity bought out the healthcare system where I lived so now it takes months to get an appointment and the quality of care is horrible.

Not that matters since the health insurance I pay hundreds for a month wouldn't cover anything anyways because it's through UHC.

My job keeps getting rid of positions because they want to "do more with less" but it just means I'm doing more work while being paid the same.

If I buy a new car it will spy on me and sell my data. The state DMV already sold my personal info without my permission and now I get constant spam.

Private equity bought out many of the restaurants I liked going to and ruined them.

Third spaces in my city have been mostly destroyed.

The social media sites I used to use were overrun by bots.

I can't upgrade my PC because hardware prices have gone insane.

Gas is like $5 a gallon now so I can't really justify going on any trips anymore.

Private equity bought up most of the rentals where I live and so now I pay much more for rent on top of crazy monthly fees while the building I live in is falling apart because they refuse to fix it. Housing prices have also gone up so much that I have no hope of owning a house.

And more.

AI has fixed none of these issues.

That pretty much sums up my experience. Everything is more expensive and worse at the same time. And it feels like we're being screwed over from every direction and in new ways every day. People keep talking about this tech is supposed to do so much but everything just gets worse.
emdash··on A city-building game in which the city would prefer you didn't
People in the city I live refuse to allow any buildings over three stories tall.

Weirdly enough, we have a constant housing shortage

emdash··on Does Reddit have an astroturfing problem? What the data suggests
There were some people using the public API to try and get info on what's going on but Reddit is now conveniently taking that away too.
emdash··on PVX-001: open-source Covid-19 vaccine starts Phase 1 trial
They kind of did the opposite. Started off open source until they had gotten what they needed from the goodwill of the open source community, then made it closed source to make sure they wouldn't have to return any of that goodwill
emdash··on Pointing AI at archives found a forgotten meteorite, lost rhinos, and more
We already have a global abundance. Doesn't seem to be doing the average person much good right now
emdash··on YouTuber Says Cops Visited Him After He Built a Flock-Style Camera to Track Cops
Flock being only accessible to people who are statistically more likely to beat their wives doesn't make me like it more
emdash··on AI firm HUMXN offers free plumbing and HVAC service in Minnesota to train robots
That seems sensible enough to me. I'm not sure why people are acting like it's impossible to succeed if you're not a YC company. I'm pretty sure plenty of non YC companies have done just fine
emdash··on Automatic Transmission – a data-privacy study of connected vehicles
Now if only they'd actually deliver a vehicle
emdash··on Automatic Transmission – a data-privacy study of connected vehicles
Don't worry, the car won't last long enough for it to be all that bad in the long run
emdash··on Does Reddit have an astroturfing problem? What the data suggests
Obviously it's hard to prove such a thing but I've always wondered if the owners of Reddit actively support having these operations run on their site.

I've seen cases where the admins delete comments that talk about the issue

emdash··on Nissan's third generation e-POWER powertrain
I think they just didn't do a good enough job at advertising it. Even the salesmen at the dealers didn't seem to really understand the Volt
emdash··on Nissan's third generation e-POWER powertrain
That's pretty much how the Chevy Volt worked. It was an incredibly good system in that car and GM did their usual thing and killed it
emdash··on Unsealed Briefs in Authors’ Case v. Microsoft/OpenAI

emdash··on New evidence for hidden chambers beyond Tutankhamun's tomb

emdash··on A single firm is behind OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta hacking scandals
Flagging shouldn't be a thing at all. If you like a comment, vote it up. If you dislike a comment then vote it down. Any functionality beyond that is pointless
emdash··on A single firm is behind OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta hacking scandals
We really need a better board for talking about this stuff on.
emdash··on I spent $220 on Google app ads and 60% of the installs were robots
Sometime you should look and see how many of those comments you made on reddit are instantly shadow removed.

You don't get any up votes because nobody ever saw those comments to begin with.

emdash··on Flock worker calls police on reporter filming public camera installation
Flock cameras do the same thing to me so I guess I'd better call the cops.
emdash··on I spent $220 on Google app ads and 60% of the installs were robots
I have a theory that there are far fewer genuine users on Reddit at this point than you'd expect.

emdash··on Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1
Opus 5 is so bad it made me cancel my subscription. It flags so many dumb things as security/ safety risks and refuses to answer

I use it because it makes A/B testing different models really easy

They could ship it with a pair of those bolts where the heads break off during installation
