I’m no web dev and to understand modern web frameworks and their ecosystems just seems like a tremendous undertaking at this point.
I think these factors help the survival of a Show HN submission. Been running https://cinetrii.com for years.

If you want to actually make a game, use something like Godot, Unreal or Unity. If you want to do all the ”fun parts” of designing a rendering pipeline, implementing shaders, inventing a scripting language but not actually make anything, roll your own engine..
There are a bunch of things that could be improved with the text processing applied here. The wrong movie title is resolved occasionally, like failing to distinguish between an original and a remake, or a book. Sometimes the wrong part of an article is parsed, resulting in wrong connections.
But I think it works overall, for the right type of film with a rich discourse.
As a fan of mid-century furniture I also enjoy this restoration channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDVK2t-ttSjXHnGejDvVm1g, although I mostly have it on in the background while I do something else.
Then it's also just luck in getting noticed. I got a significant amount of traffic this fall from the Recomendo newsletter which led to someone reposting it on Reddit with a couple of thousand upvotes.

3) Very well. The first few weeks was a great relief, an opportunity to get work done without constant disturbances. As the months went on, I started craving a little more social interaction, one day at the office every now and then would do the trick.
4) Pros: gotten much more work done. Cons: poor ergonomics in my small apartment setup.
5) I could use a bigger apartment with room for a proper desk and multiple screen setup.
6) Absolutely
Get more involved in the restoration of a local cinema (some timing..)
