This is a great telegram channel updated daily on mainly buddhist events and meditation teachings. Where do you go and get teaching to learn how to sit? Well why not go to those who has been maintaining meditation practise for thousands of years

I recommend you watch out for Dzogchen introduction events because it seem most suited for westerners these days.

For students or low incomers Most teachings are donation based and offer scholarship so you can always attend if you cant afford, ask for scholarship and they will help you don't be shy this is very common!

fieldbob··on Study: U.S. dietary recommendations for protein intake are too low
This is a function of higher mind; awareness, you have everything you need I would go with instinct. Science will never be able to explain how this works, just abandon all hope of scientific rescue. You have everything you need within.
fieldbob··on Study: U.S. dietary recommendations for protein intake are too low
skip studies, skip science. This is yoga find out for your self. If you exercise, if you meditate if you eat organic You become receptive and sensitive and all the information you could ever want is right there available within Including what you need to eat

To figure this out one has to sit in meditation and find out for one self This is metaphysics not psychology, perhaps you are asking the wrong people.

Donald hoffman says something exactly like that in this talk. David Bohm came the same conclusion science will never fully figure it out the answer is much spiritual and imaginative

Why? because ultimately we are talking about a empty field of space propagated by light, similar to holograms. Things that grow here things that stem from this world do you think they really are what they appear to be? Of course not. So what are they god damnit? perhaps its better to not answer the question and like a good old mystic leave it be and open a portal to another dimension and have this experience for one self

fieldbob··on Study: U.S. dietary recommendations for protein intake are too low
This eating proteins seems like a some sort of mind virus these days propelled by clever marketing. I don't think anyone ever have to worry about how much protein they need the body tell you when you need to eat more protein it usually comes with desire or craving certain foods

having the condition that you need to eat certain amount of protein everyday is probably a lot worse for your health than eating to little protein one day

fieldbob··on North Korea’s Lazarus Group Has Stolen $240M in Crypto in Just 104 Days
Blockchain surveillance firm Elliptic published a report Friday detailing the exploits of notorious North Korean hacking group Lazarus, which has been “ramping up” activity in recent months.

The organization has been linked to five major crypto hacks over the past three months. The latest, according to blockchain data, was the global cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx, which was hacked earlier this week for a now estimated $54 million. All in all, Elliptic estimates that North Korea's Lazarus is responsible for the theft of almost $240 million in crypto in just the past 104 days alone.

fieldbob··on Ego Death
I recommend listening to krishnamurti's talks. specially those from saanen in the 70's, those with dr david bohm and those with alan naude. The intellect can not resolve it self one has to practise The observer is the observed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS9r2_fUtWM
fieldbob··on Carl Sagan testifying before Congress on climate change (1985) [video]
You will be conditioned and the "ego" that is conditioned becomes vulnerable and biased in a particular direction. It's like a downward spiralling loop either if you are positive or negative there is no winner(but always a controller) and that controller never you, you will be a follower a subscriber or as I said first a slave(perhaps a little harsh)

You you will also become involuntary subscriber to all kinds of misleading ideas and concepts that you automatically accept because you accepted the first root idea and these concepts will only hold One back. The One has become two, split, half no longer whole(holy) being.

What is our real nature then? Its not having an intelectual standing at all completely free, carefree, no attachment to any idea, neutral, some would call this innocence. Its only then when our real qualities and value shines through. All opinions, pedandry and ideation about everything is in the end of the day end of our life a complete useless wasted nonsense

fieldbob··on Zoom terms now allow training AI on user content with no opt out
This also probably mean that they are going to tap/secretly record every video call and analyze the data without recording being turned on. Since all video calls terminate at a zoom server they already have the capability to listen in without anyone knowing about it.
