flowerpil··on Show HN: Mainly – Self-hosted mail client built for multiple domains
Yeah, I agree, I’ve struggled for years to find a mail client that feels (and looks) ‘modern’. The app uses Postgres as the database so that the mail lives server-side but stores an array of metadata attributes from each mailbox in the db, then pulls from the server when you open it.

Everything happens on Postgres first then relays to IMAP instead of relying on IMAP to query across all your domains, which I find is usually where most mail clients start to fail when you’re the type to setup multiple emails on multiple domains.

Thanks for the guidance; I've pushed this into the latest build.

Let me know if there's anything else you notice!

yes on email-render-dark-mode but the toggle could be closer to the action. Printing, no - but can add this in too. Watch for next build or two :)

More or less the same, just not yet with cal integrations. The main tweak is a more modern interface and with a denser level of abilities around customisation with layouts/colours/folders.

My main gripe with TB is that it’s limited in how much you can change the display visually, which can be quite cluttered and same-y.

the backend is all automated for imports and exports from dsp (can be a single account only), or can be made without.

Just wanted it to be easier to share music with friends with one link, particularly as music-types start to de-spotify!
