Personally I think a hybrid that plugs into 120, with a commuting range 50 miles and a back up gas engine will be the sweet spot
Examples of enabling control: Learning math was forced on me as a child (unlike reading, I hated doing problems), but its importance to my life cannot be overstated. I join exercise classes to control myself and make sure that I get healthier. Etc. While there is a lot of difference between these and a "cult", I think the point of the OP is that control isn't simply bad.
My only plan for the summer is to seed the lawn with clover, water weekly, and keep it cut at the top height of my mower.
How big was your garden, and how visible from the neighbors? In the front I can see that, but who cares in the back, at least in my area.
Two, it speaks to getting over the hump of learning something hard, where you have to work 100s of hours, feeling incompetent, before the payoff. Maybe intensives like you did are the best way to get through those gross learning curve stages.
Thanks for sharing the best thing I read on the internet this year.
I wasn't comparing Julia to python or c+, but to Matlab octave.
Plus I got annoyed with extra weird syntax, but I can't remember the specifics.
Basically, Julia required more lines and characters and wasn't as close to the math.
Aside:I think Matlab / Octave is a lot like SQL and Tcl: lots of haters, unfashionable, but usually the most elegant solution .
We would have the same mess if we didn't mow. Things grow like crazy for six months here
I am also proud of my cantankerous fellow New Yorkers who fought this.
