In my experience? No. 3.7 is faster and it just seems to get things right more often. Only big architecture tasks and analysis make sense with 3.1, perhaps, but honestly just use the Opus 4.6 to generate a plan and then switch back to flash for the implementation
Copyright is too long (thank you Disney and Pelosi) and I'm all for shortening it. Also I do agree that market dilution is not really defensible. The main reason why models should have been shut down is the sketchy way in which the models were trained.
If we fail to pay interest in a timely manner is potentially catastrophic. US Bonds are considered a safe haven because we have never defaulted on our debt
Way too reductive. Look at the deficit growth numbers under democrats vs republicans. This comment is just another variant of lazy "both-siderism" that I have really come to loath
The part that really annoys me is the stark difference in cost between harness usage and api usage. I'd like to build my own harness and maybe I just will and focus on local model serving
This whole thing has felt very odd. Did we collectively forget about the Google Glass and glass-holes? This was entirely predictable. I guess the only difference this time around is how inconspicuous they are.
At least in high school I was the opposite. If I had a class with a teacher strict about notes I didn't absorb the material as well because I was more focused on getting the notes correct than engaging with the material
I also wonder what this moment will mean for chip design going forward. The fact that we are so constrained on the GPU side along with the success of unified memory with apple silicon does make me wonder what chips in 3-5 years will look like.
