The elephant in the room: how much of those 512 Gb is usable by the GPU?

And don't forget about the 40 gb of background videos

ADHD and Autism here. The only thing that has worked for me, and I'm strictly speaking of the ADHD part, has been medication. Everything else has been a waste of time. As for trauma, I strongly believe the correct causal relation is ADHD exposes you to increased chances of trauma. Not the other way around.

Bring back usenet! It was free and distributed

The same thing is true in software engineering: an AI model is equivalent to an average programer (average with a huge standard deviation). Averigua is better than half, but still way behind the top performers

How are you using it? A subscription from z.ai?

Credit cards in Europe are a form of very short term credit: you spend and pay the entire balance on the next month. The is very different from the model in the US, which is designed to keep you in debt forever.

We have all overused a single solution to "finding stuff on the web": the search engine. Now it's dying, killed by AI and by Google's greed.

There's no alternative left, no webrings, no web directories. If all your content is now only on your server, you're invisible.

One of the consequences of the LLM tsunami might be the freezing of research and development in programming languages.

Maybe we'll be stuck with J's and python forever...

It's still the best thing that happened to Python in a long time

One of the first things I removed from my Mac was the 45 gb (sic) worth of wallpaper videos.

I see a lot of people trying to run away from Anthropic "window of doom" affair lately, me myself included. What has stopped me so far is the lack of real alternative to Opus. Not even gpt5.4 comes close

I've been using fedora desktop on laptop for years, alongside a Mac, without any issues

I'm experience, that doesn't work if you main clients are big corporations. The average corporate drone mistrusts and disregards small companies. Not out of arrogance, I believe, but out of fear: a generalized version of the old "no one was fired for buying IBM" trope. Small companies are seen as higher risk.

Maybe the scammer was the ex husband.

What's the problem with Scylla? Honest question, BTW

And doesn't need to wear warm jumpers.

Sounds just like reddit the last few years

I'll check it out, thanks!

What is a good modern Forth to play around with?

Yes, and Spain has the largest high speed train network after China. Too bad our power plants run mostly on natural gas...

Why not just dart?

HarmonyOS is the only thing really new that I've seen , but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole.
