What would you expect Europe to do? It’s not like they openly support this war. The Iranian diaspora supports it, there is the secularism element, but the US doesn’t care about the Iranian people anyway
This is not always good for the end user. Now I have to go to google maps manually because it’s most of the time no longer integrated with google search
Not sure about nowadays, but a few years ago yes. You could run a foreground(?) service which kept an icon in the righthand corner (can’t remember too well). Anyway, I had an app which kept a http server always running.
I don’t know much about how these models work, but does this mean that a lot of ‘smartness’ that they show in how they articulate the answers are just them ‘parroting’ the contractors who ‘role played ai’?
I treat most shortened links as the maker has some interest with it, wants to track something, earn something, which I find dishonest. Assuming this is an amazon url, the product page is not even a long url.
When I was a kid in the 90s my dad had raised money to buy a good car. When the time came, he bought a not so good car + a computer for me. I still remember installing windows 3.1 from 40 floppy disks
What engine do you have? A lot that I see for sale have 165bhp engines, which doesn’t sound under powered. Compare that with a lot of newer cars which have 1L 100bhp engines
Non english speaker here. One use which I’ve encountered recently and seems off to me, is when people say something like: I’ve apples in my bag. Is this correct? I’ve grown up using ‘ve only for shortening the past perfect (or whatever verb form is that, excuse my grammar, school was a long time ago)
A great engineer should be both good and great. I do a lot of ‘great’ stuff at work, but that won’t help me to get into my next gig unless I also code a lot and don’t lose my skill.
Does anyone here suffer from vasovagal syncope and has researched the topic more in depth? My last blackout was around one minute during a flight, house doctor says I shouldn’t be concerned.
I didn’t have a good experience with copilot. It was ok for some auto completions, but I found it very distracting to correct it many times when it didn’t do well. It’s like it interrupted my flow. Maybe there is a shortcut to enable it on demand rather than always on, but it wasn’t obvious in the Jetbrains plugin
