Really awesome to see this stuff continued to be worked on. I had a small project I worked on almost a decade ago https://github.com/gabrielcsapo/node-notebook, things have gotten so much better.

The ios 13 features and even ios 12 show that Apple has continually made sharing and photo streams better. I think it is worth it and you can even share photo streams via urls to people that don't have ios. _I know multiple platforms have this already, just pointing out that Apple is really interested in making this experience a good one_

I have my parents and siblings on my iCloud family with 1tb and we have yet to use 60% of the total space. This is with backups turned on and photos as well. I think it is worth the money.

I think the best designs are iterative. I would agree, things are very familiar, but that is how most things gain momentum. I would honestly use this over what I have now, because things seem way more obvious to what I need to do. They are very context aware in which existing OSes are not

I totally agree, hopefully I push something out this weekend that does this. I think we just need to rethink the storage ownership of all of these applications. Facebook, Evernote, Apple, Google, they shouldn't be querying internal data, but data that you are exposing to them. This moves the cost of read and write access to the individual which will alter the balance of power.

Easy fix might be rasterizing the first few lines to an image or doing sentiment analysis and having pictures default for the type of emotion being exemplified.

Shameless plug, I have been a little upset about how convoluted the static site offerings have been. So I have been building https://www.gabrielcsapo.com/sweeney/ in my free time. It needs a ton of work, but trying to keep it compact and 100% tested. The main source of inspiration is making static sites configurable enough for people to stop using Wordpress and making their clients lives incredible difficult. Really cool project @makesite!

I think it would be easier to have a conversation that cares about human emotions and get results, than to insult others and lose perspective of those involved. The recent flak over Node COC is a extremely good example about how "having an honest conversation even if it hurts people," is extremely destructive. [1]
