gherkin··on How Naughty Dog Fit Crash Bandicoot into 2MB of RAM on the PS1
Take a look at http://all-things-andy-gavin.com/2011/02/03/making-crash-ban... as mentioned above :)
gherkin··on StackNotes
Looks good. Methinks you should change the 3-char minimum password length to 8 minimum for typical security reasons.
gherkin··on SHOUTCLOUD – ALL CAPS AS A SERVICE
EVEN THE HTML TAGS ARE IN UPPERCASE:

<!DOCTYPE HTML> <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>SHOUTCLOUD: THE CLOUD THAT SHOUTS BACK</TITLE> <LINK REL="stylesheet" HREF="/css/landing.css" TYPE="text/css"> </HEAD> <BODY> ...

gherkin··on Scaleway: Bare metal SSD ARM servers
Support is on the way it seems:

gherkin··on [dead]
Let's hope this doesn't melt before it gets off of the ground - it's an exciting concept that not many seem to embrace.
gherkin··on Googlebot is Chrome (2011)
Using the mouse to scroll at a good pace is impossible. It always skips over bits and does the floaty thing.
gherkin··on Ask HN: Do you hate iTunes?
I always hated how stupid it makes adding a few songs to an existing device. Half the time it wants to re-sync everything and wipe the device while doing it.

Avoid iTunes with extreme prejudice.

gherkin··on I won't be using Angular for my next project and neither should you
Clicking the back button after going to this article prevents you from returning to HN, but rather sends you to jskicks' front page and re-opens the article.

Really shitty behavior. Or is this supposed to work better on mobile?

gherkin··on Ask HN: My son wants to make side money programming
You've got to start somewhere. More often than not you start with the easiest option and find that you're knee-deep in crap a ways down the line. If all you care about is ease-of-use over learning opportunity you might as well default to Windows with whatever flavor of Visual Studio you can get.
gherkin··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (December 2014)
Hi! This is really interesting. I am in South Africa - where are you situated here, or would that turn into a remote position?
gherkin··on What do you think of my site's design?
I see what you mean. I'll poke about and look for a less-bright color :). Thank you!
gherkin··on What do you think of my site's design?
The code is up at:

if anyone is interested.

gherkin··on Vanilla.js module for Node.js
Brilliant.
gherkin··on EditorConfig
You could go ahead and build support yourself.
gherkin··on EditorConfig
Might it make more sense to rather compile the editorconfig file into the respective editor's config file? That way you need not depend on a plugin being written for the editor. This would mean that you could support more editors and enhance editor configurations without having to wait for the plugin to update to support your own new features. This would be at the cost of the ease of simply editing a single file, though it could be set up that, when compiled, the system will back the old config file up and insert the new one in its place.
gherkin··on AngularJS 1.3.0
It works just fine with a non-Chromium-based browser. You need to include the shadow DOM script though, since AngularDart depends on that.
gherkin··on German Scientists Prove There Is Life After Death
I have a lot of difficulty believing this. They are in an induced state of "clinical death" which would not be "real" death. They are effectively still alive and experiencing what their body might if it were clinically dead but not really dead. It is effectively impossible to prove beyond any doubt that there exists any form of life beyond death. This experiment might just show what the body and/or mind goes through while continuing on to true death.
gherkin··on [dead]
This site is incredibly ugly
gherkin··on Poll: Did you “drop Dropbox”?
I leave my old data in Dropbox since it's a pain to transfer gigabytes of cloud storage, and I don't have to look for it since I already know where it is. My new data is synced with various things like Owncloud, Cozy, Syncthing, or BitTorrent Sync depending on what the data actually is.
gherkin··on Cyphertite: 8 GB free encrypted backup with CLI client for Linux and Windows
Tresorit has a Linux client:

gherkin··on Cyphertite: 8 GB free encrypted backup with CLI client for Linux and Windows
How is this different to Tresorit(https://tresorit.com/)?
gherkin··on Show HN: Prevent your free Heroku app from ever falling asleep again
Why would one want their Heroku instance to stay awake at all times? If the request is processed with a slight bit of latency, I'm okay with that. Plus, it helps the Heroku guys manage their infrastructure and cut costs in terms of unused computation time. This feels like taking advantage of the good will of those providing the service.
gherkin··on Serendipity – When 2 people listen to the same song at the same time
It's really not that bad. Click the "mute" icon in the top-left of the screen and go on with your life.
gherkin··on DAVdroid: An open-source CalDAV/CardDAV synchronization app for Android 4+
Looks like we crashed the site. I'm ironically getting SSL errors trying to log in.
gherkin··on TypWrittr – Inspirational, Minimalistic, Distraction-free Text editor
What makes writing text locally any better?
gherkin··on ProdPad – Product Management Software
This sort of thing really needs a live demo. I don't want to sign up for 50 different Product Management sites to find the one I want to use, and have to deal with the other 49's spam once I choose one. Even once you delete your account do some of them spam you.
