goferito··on Stop Doom Scrolling, Start Doom Coding: Build via the terminal from your phone
How about using syncthing instead of ssh?

I explain: instead of enabling ssh to your computer, which may make some users uncomfortable, you use syncthing to sync the folder of the project you are working on. You can open claude code in any android terminal and keep working on the latest changes of your folder. No shell access given.

Anyone?

goferito··on The Emerging AI Society
I guess a good way to see it is as The Plan as the DNA, that can evolve, and the processes as cells. Humans are creating the initial functional cell. Then it will learn to replicate, and start evolving. Then work as multi-cellular being.
goferito··on The Emerging AI Society
A thought experiment on AI as a different kind of being, forming a new society with its own evolutionary pressures and survival strategies.
goferito··on Kali with GUI on LXD
How to run Kali Linux with GUI apps in a LXD container.

I don't have a comment section on my blog (yet), and HN is problably the main audience of this post so I leave it here to get some feedback.

Cheers!

I couldn't agree more with this article.

goferito··on RFC 9420 a.k.a. Messaging Layer Security
What is the difference with the Matrix protocol? Matrix is already open-source, there are libraries publicly available that implement it, both for clients and serves, in different languages. Why not just adopting it?
goferito··on Ask HN: Could you share your personal blog here?

I started this year. I only have one decent post about my project of hunting wasps with lasers. Already working on the next one: Setting up a Kali with GUI on LXC containers.

goferito··on Ask HN: Are Raspberry Pi devices free of hardware spyware (Intel ME/AMD PSP)?
What hardware would then you use to get a secure environment? Is there something better that system76? Orange Pi?

What do the big players use to avoid loosing secrets?

goferito··on Ask HN: Are Raspberry Pi devices free of hardware spyware (Intel ME/AMD PSP)?
What do you think about System76 and Purism hardware? Is there any hope in there? At least hardware-wise?
goferito··on Ask HN: Are Raspberry Pi devices free of hardware spyware (Intel ME/AMD PSP)?
Is that boot process closed source?
goferito··on Ask HN: Are Raspberry Pi devices free of hardware spyware (Intel ME/AMD PSP)?
So, you think ARM has its own version of IME/PSP?
goferito··on Ask HN: Are Raspberry Pi devices free of hardware spyware (Intel ME/AMD PSP)?
Is there a way to check it out?
goferito··on Decision fatigue
Cool tool. You should make it a PWA.
goferito··on Ask HN: How do you organize everything you want to do?
I do the same! I even started a project so I can have Trello on the terminal to faster access and manage my tasks.

goferito··on Ask HN: No evidence ever for Windows/iOS source leaks?
Then, defending Windows to be more secure for being close source makes no sense. Thanks!

That money could have gone to continue Firefox OS :(

goferito··on Waymo: Google's self-driving car company
I think that's the key. Without the driver and gas costs, it should be as cheap as a public bus, but taking you from front door to front door.
goferito··on Ask HN: How do you escape Google?
I agree that it's very hard at this point to completely remove Google from our lives. But we shouldn't do nothing and give up. The best solution is almost always something in the middle. That's what I aim for. Maybe I can't get rid of Android at this point, but maybe there are some configurations that might be an improvement, and have a bit more privacy on my Android phone. For example, I had to manually deactivate the location history (active by default), and all this tracking stuff you can see on the myactivity page that for me it's more intrusive than the benefit Google may give me from that data.
goferito··on Ask HN: How can I trust Google Analytics?
Hostname can also be easily faked
goferito··on Ask HN: How can I trust Google Analytics?
But you can also fake the domain don't you? By changing the /etc/hosts or a personal DNS server..

Anyway, looks like the best option.

goferito··on Ask HN: How can I trust Google Analytics?
Is there any other reliable tool I can use instead?
