Kinda interesting to see how the sentiment for AI just keeps getting worse, and how “ChatGPT” had one day of positive sentiment when it launched, then it was all negative since then.

I'll just note that again, my hypothesis and the actual way it works are very similar to each other, and both are very dissimilar to the suction cap analogy. Suction cap works by passively utilizing atmospheric pressure, this utilizes moving a large amount of air in the direction opposite to the road. The only difference is that it's taking the air from below instead of pushing from above. I imagine that is the case to utilize the same outlets that are used for lifting the car.
But I’ll give you an easy way to prove that what you said is true instead of just yelling at each other.
Give me a single example in the US of an online service company providing service after a credit card declined on a no-commitment service with auto renewal that actually sued in court and recovered something. There is none.
Also, it is common to see in the US competitors with lower prices than Amazon (e.g. I frequently see brand name products on Microcenter cheaper than Amazon), not to mention that it doesn't apply to sites like eBay. So you've got to wonder if it actually has a strong effect on pricing across the internet.
Also, the Grok one made the front page, why am I only hearing it through a minor comment?
Mathematicians are primarily understanding-oriented.
Leveraging AI to tackle new frontiers without true understanding converts mathematicians to engineers.
Makes me wonder how much compute is already being built in bunkers under mountains.
You could pay more and still get worse services.
We are not far away from the moment where these models will be restricted, and sharing the results will be done more carefully.
The propaganda of trying to make US and China government appear the same is making people dumber. and is one of the most heavily used tools in China’s online propaganda arsenal.
This is not just hypothetical, there is actually a draft bill aimed at that - Prohibiting Adversarial Patents Act of 2026 (H.R. 9142)
How far away are we from “build a startup that generates $1M MRR, my openrouter key is in my .env”?
With that said, there is also criminal negligence. Now that OpenAI is made aware of the risks, it's also expected to take additional precautions in the future, otherwise there could be criminal liability as well.
