gregorias··on Witch – macOS window switcher replacement
I'm already using [Contexts](https://contexts.co/) for this purpose, and I don't think I need anything else.
gregorias··on A Dark Room: From Sabbatical Year to $800k
I agree with your sentiment and find the judgemental, derisive attitude that some entrepreneurial communities exhibit distressing. Going so far as to call 9-to-5 workers sheep is a display of arrogance and (perhaps) own insecurities. It would be better for us not to foster such attitudes.
gregorias··on Three Delusions: Paper Wealth, a Booming Economy, and Bitcoin
Thank you for this comment. There's so much negativity in the most-voted comments that it's refreshing to see an approach that tries to learn instead of discredit.

Hi Aoyagi,

I work at Google, and I would like to take a look at what happens to your account during login. The situation that you are describing sounds surprising to me.

If yes, then could you provide a contact point so I may contact you with my corporate credentials (corporate e-mail) to verify myself?

gregorias··on Sift4: Fast and accurate string distance algorithm
Could you provide examples of math application - that you mention - in the case of Levenshtein distance? I'm not interested in general topology, functional analysis etc., but what finds its use in computer science, software engineering.
gregorias··on The Increasing Trend of Online Extortion
Isn't it possible to trace history of transfers in Bitcoin? I thought the blockchains contained information about transfer from and to account, and that's de facto the way to check account's value - by tracing it's entire history.
gregorias··on Workers in Silicon Valley Weigh in on Obama’s Immigration Order
Let me guess. You didn't even read the article and simply did ctrl+f h1-B, which didn't give you any results, because it's a typo.
gregorias··on The $9B Witness: JPMorgan Chase's Worst Nightmare
This is a false dichotomy and sugarcoating. The article is not just about banks being reckless, but about criminal fraud committed wilfully and with intent by Chase's high ranking personnel. And they not only got away with it, but also profited from the aftermath.

So the real situation here is the opposite. People with money and power get even more while everyone dependent on them suffers from their actions. It's outrageous and what should happen is criminal persecution of responsible individuals, not fines for corporation which don't touch people in charge and as you say "take down the economy".
